hey Mik I have been playing around with a vanilla install and the mod only. Also have a second install with the bonus scripts added and plugin manager ... installed in that order. All argon starts for me and work, no crash or errors, however, when both installs reach the point in the plot where you have to place the three laser towers in Albion. The jumps gates no longer function in both installs .... even trying the jump drive didn't work only the cheat of warp to sector worked, the base install is stuck in sector.....
was going to test if Imp starts/plots are in good shape ... but seems I have some hunting to do on Argon plots lines

Kinda interested in how far in the plot others have made without bugs ???
oh and by the way I forgot to mention above the plot seems to be going fine, its the gates that stopped working ... in the mod only install plot moved to next part, player is stuck in that sector with gates not working
yes they are installed in seprate partitions

Possibly very newbie question for this mod.
Downloaded the 9.15 version (latest) and have installed it via the Plugin Manager. Got no indication anything was any different.
So I checked the Advanced->Verify installed files and it told me that there were some files missing from the install.
Specifically 10.dat, 12.dat, 16.dat, 22.dat and /mov/00001.dat. I checked this zipped file and there is a 10.dat and a 12.dat but no 16, 22 or /mov/0001.dat.
Anyone else have this happen to them?
I would assume that the plugin manager has placed the files in the right area.
Why would the Plugin Manager say files are missing if they are not in the zipped file?

DO not use a plugin manager or mod manager.

install the mod like a fake patch (like mik's quick video)
Then run plugin manager if you want to add scripts or try mixing other mods. (so far I have no issues done this way)
The one issue I had was in both of the Star Wars mod and in a second install of the Star Wars mod + plugin manager. The issues I had, was the jump gates around Albion sectors not working ... I logged out n back in and seem to be working so far

I hope you purchased both Terran Conflict and Albion Prelude, they must run together.
I didn't crack it in the end. I did a complete reinstall, debunked back to vanilla and went through the instructions again from scratch. Seems to work ok this time, suggesting that despite my best efforts there was probably some remanent (an Imperial Remanent maybe!?) of something I'd done previously in my install which was incompatible. I can say with certainty though, there is still no 13.cat or dat in the download, or my addon folder, which there is in your video, you even explicitly mention it.
I'm now currently having lots of fun. You have no idea how happy I was that the Yaki sold the Provenance class, one of my favourite ships. I have easy ways to make money, but rep is so much slower so I always go to to the Yaki to get some high end stuff to kick me off with. Super happy to see that there.

maybe a silly ? Before install did you clean out the steam apps folder. Also in your pc documents will be the egosoft folder with X3ap and in it will be, profiles, saves and logs.
If you have used plugin manager there will also be a .dat ... could this be an issue
just a point to note using the steam app to verify files doesnt remove additional mod files

The starts are the same universe with same NPCs it just activates different story scripts with imperials and gives a different friend foe setting.
The freezes are usually caused by heavy data ships jumping into the system, Ill be optimizing those in the near future.
Other causes could be scripts, from other mods.

I lowered the graphics settings down and it seems to work fine.
It's strange, I have a good pc ... but it works now !!!

For the people who are successfully copying and the mod isn't loading in you need to have the file name as the main file. Example, X3 Terran Conflict (with the mod) and just rename the vanilla folder. I can't figure out why it's referring back to the main file, may be steam but it works fine now.

I recently installed this great mod, but any of the mod ships or equipment names are displayed, instead of it I see ReadText17-240077, and so on.
Anyone knows how to fix it?
