For TC:
I'd like the ability to buy EVERY factory-type somewhere.
Right now, certain factories can't be bought anywhere like the Terran Ice Mine and some weapons/missile fabs.
Also consider adding the nividium mine to the list and make every factory able to be linked into a complex (perhaps excluding the terran fabs).
Some scripted factories make the game CTD if you try it.
This could be fixed.
Also, make every ship-type available to be bought somewhere.
Like the Atmospheric lifter, the Vidar and a few others, those can't be bought.
And if you lost the Vidar before you got the PHQ, you can't RE it and make more of them.
Also, put up the defense platforms for sale somewhere.
They could be put inside another M1 (the Aran for example) to transport them to a certain location and deploy them.
Or convert them into some form of object like a station which you can build with a TL.
By default, the PHQ could be available to be bought in some shipyards as well, after the player finishes the PHQ plot line.
This isn't a priority as there is a script which adds it already, but it would be nice to have this feature in a vanilla game.
And if it's not too much to ask, a new, long and exciting plotline with lots of fighting so you can actually USE more than 2 M2's somewhere at once.

these in particular can be done by adding Yalamandis Corp. ship construction, The Marauder Shipyard, PHQ and Military Base in Boron Shipyards, and the Terran Revitalization Project part of the bonus pack. the last bit(new plotline) is something i would love to see.PowerPC603 wrote:For TC:

Shields can be used as weapons. Ramming is a legitimate (if messy) way of attack. I hardly EVER lose my own ships through bumps.

In several games, I used a Paranid Diemos. The shields on that thing are probably its most effective weapons. Tape down the fire button, charge, and ram. Give the AI enough sense to avoid a collision if it can, yes, but don't nerf it.

I just hope that the patch, when it comes out won't wreck some of the great massively extensive mods that have been produced for X3TC / X3AP.
Personally I'd love to see the Kha'ak back in X3AP (to hell with the XR plot integration I say), along with all pirate factories being available at the Yaki shipyard, jump beacons available for purchase, along with Terran lasertowers. Oh, and those PALC's, along with them PBC's and a Paranid and Argon M2+/M1+ type ship to balance out those Kyotos, Xenon I's, Megalodons, and Split <insert name here I forget>. Oh, and being able to own more than one player shipyard would be nice too.

Really on the "EVER" part? I never used carriers before because the m3's would kamikaze into the target. Well when I was using a non-carrier ship and would call them in. With Bounce that doesn't seem to happen much (although I see some losses because of my Griffon, not sure if I'm ramming them or they cross my line of fire). And if it does happen I'm using Drone Carrier Software 2 now so I just pay some money and get new drones. So I do see it as a problem in vanilla, but I agree that disabling bump damage is a bit extreme and takes away from being able to ram that pesky m3 when you need to.ThommoHawk wrote: ^ no. no. no. no. do not disable bump damage.

OOS Rep
I would like to be able to send my traders to Terran space, and not have the Terrans blow them up, even though I have positive rep with them. If I'm in the same sector as one of my traders, the Terrans leave him alone. But if I am OOS, then the Terrans treat him as an enemy.

the worst ships for *bump* > *kaboom* for me were the discoverers. I found that by not upgrading to max speed ie; just maxing at around 90% they survived a lot better, but this could just be luck. I'm using a fleet of 40 Argon Eclipses atm in Xenon sectors, and they are fine flying X formation around my Yaki M1, and during any given battle with Xenon capitals and against packs of smaller Xenon ships, they survive quite well. I tend to lose ships from big gun fire rather than AI errors / bumps.
I often wonder how much processor speed / graphics card performance affects the AI piloting performance in NPC ships. My PC system is pretty good for playing X3 games.

Pilot log reports: Please restore the ID tag of enemy ships on the 'your ship was destroyed in sector xyz by (ie pirate nova) <id#here>' reports in pilots log.
It is fun knowing exactly which enemy ship it is so the player can go and find the one responsible and take revenge. This was available in X3 Reunion and Bala Gi but since X3 TC it has been cut out.
Please re-activate this little detail, as it gives a valid reason to seek and destroy a pirate with matching ID (or claim their ship).

For immersions sake the possibility of adding load/unload time when buying and selling wares. Maybe something similar to the station delay when doing "Tours of a Lifetime"-missions. Maybe with adding a red/green-light indicator in the HUD *cough*cockpit*cough* to give a visual warning just in case the vocal message gets interrupted by Betty/Station announcements.

What i whould like? 3 simple things:
1) Finish the Drone Haulers, we have M7 intended to be Drone Haulers, we have the race specific Drones classified as M4 "Drone Haulers" going around randomly in the universe, but the concept was just never implemented as a whole, probably because lack of time, please finish that.
2) The profiles at PHQ production was good, but they dont take in consideration :
A) Ammo, i cant set the ammo supply to auto equip new produced fighters
B) Produce time and cost are way too high in several cases
C) You guys need to implement a way to produce ships at PHQ fully equiped, that thing of producing something and them having to go to purchase jumpdrive, engine tunning, software, etc is a NO GO, specially if im producing carrier fighters, kinda making the thole thing of the "profile" worthless.
3) Please add a "Attack my target ONLY" turret command, this is a problem, because if i have, lets say Gauss Cannon turret in a Shrike, i want those turrets to attack the target I want, wharever I want, thhe problem with the current "attack my target" is that if i change the target, they will keep attacking the old target until is dead or out of range.
