Is there any hope that the Export/Import procedure of LU makes a new start unnecessary to experience the mod at its fullest being that a new universe is created after every E/I ?
-= If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation =-

Yes, EI is equivalent to new game.IsAB wrote:Is there any hope that the Export/Import procedure of LU makes a new start unnecessary to experience the mod at its fullest being that a new universe is created after every E/I ?

Can you please give me the sector co-ordinates of where, I have changed none of the station contents (at least knowingly)?Undesirable wrote:A software device appears to have been removed from station ware lists when I installed IEX on LU and its compatibility patch. The Quantum Jumpgate Extension.

When I installed your mod, the Quantum Jumpgate Extension was nowhere to be found in any station. Even in a Trade Product Search. It could have been something I did wrong, but I followed instructions to the letter except I didn't start a new game; did an E/I. I also have EMS installed, so had to add +1 to the cat and dat numbers. Once I removed your mod and did an E/I again, the software returned.

As the IE/IEX 'TBackground.txt' file is back in play when using the LUVi patch, the answer is a probable yes... give it a whirl and let me know!Lord Kellmar wrote:Is the "Nofog" patch still necessary in LUVi ?

I'll try it. (just need to find a foggy sector
)
But some things are odd. After an E/I (export before installing, import after), I have :
- Blinking red sector of the AP war zone (including the Phanon sector - Sanctuary of Darkness - at the old place of Heretics End)
- The standards buildings for Heretics End in time of war, as occupied by Terran forces : Defence Station, Weat farm, SPP, etc... populating Sanctuary of Darkness.
Seams like some of your file still contain some AP war mechanism (my properties are not destroyed, tho)

Thanks for the feedback.
To create the latest map for LUVi all I've done is edit the LUV 1.4.7 map and altered each sectors backgrounds, suns, planets etc. No changes have been made to ownerships or significant in-game objects etc. etc. Mmm.... I wonder if I need to include some of the other LUV map files in the patch to wipe out anything that LUVi (ie. IE/IEX) might have accidentally put back in!
I'll need to check this later this evening.

Oh no
I confirm everything Lord Kellmar told, unfortunately !
EDIT : I tried your hotfix : no blinking, no doubled stations, no stations in Sanctuary of Darkness ; Goner temples still sell Warheads and I still cannot find the Quantum Jumpgate Extension.
EDIT 2 : what's the problem with the fog ? Well, is there a problem ? Because I like it

So is everything fixed apart from the missing "Quantum Jumpgate Extension"? You'll have to help me here, where are they missing from?Joubarbe wrote:Oh noI confirm everything Lord Kellmar told, unfortunately !

Like the Fog? For those that don't that's why there's a "NoFog" option... fogginess seems to be a personal thing.
NoFog has 475 downloads by people so far so I guess it was worth the effort after all.

EDIT : LUVi 147.15b2 is now the standard download on the IEX OP.

Is LUVi correct then? It'd be such a shame if it wasn't...Litcube wrote:Just want to add clarity on some acronyms.
LU stands for Litcube's Universe
LUV stands for Litcube's Universe Vanilla, which denotes a user has no mods installed other than LU.

No this is not correct. LUi would be. This is no more vanilla if you add IEX...Moonrat wrote:Is LUVi correct then? It'd be such a shame if it wasn't...Litcube wrote:Just want to add clarity on some acronyms.
