You should clean this up in the game, forbid access to Trade Product Search if you don't have the right items, like before.

Yes, but that cant be done for two weeks... the wiki can be fixed now... and will still need fixing even if the game is patched.

You don't need a best buy best sell for stations, but you do for other products and resources. I'll figure out some way of letting the user know.

well....

I installed the 1.16.1 Export Installer from here:

over my Backup 1.16 Version.

Loaded the save game, started the Export, worked fine.

Shifted and renamed the xml file to addon/t in my 1.20 install and on trying to import it stalled and always repeated "you are being promoted" and I had to terminate X3:AP via Task Manager.

So I still have the 1.18 Patch and so I updated a 1.16 Backup (plus 1.16.1 Exporter) to 1.18. Started the game, import worked fine. Great!

So, now I hit Export again, because I want to upgrade to 1.20. Export worked fine, exit to Win7, update to 1.20, game start and the import doesn't work again, same behaviour as described above.

So, I found a logical flaw in the Import/Export info in the wiki. For 1.18 do I need the old way of exporting or the newer simple one? Because it only says pre 1.18 and post 1.18, which does not give a clear information what to do with 1.18. It seems the 8382-L044.xml is from the 1.18 export, so I assume the newer method should work. But why is the Import not working? It says 1.20 at the game start, so the patch seems to have worked.

I still have the 1.16+1.16.1 Exporter Install as a backup fortunately.

Advice would be very much appreciated.

Delete all export files. Export from 1.1.8. Find the file. Where is it?

It is in addon/t as xml file. Nothing in the documents folder.

Sorry, but I do not have the 1.19 Patch it cannot be downloaded from your wiki page anymore. I only have 1.20, 1.23 and the GUI Changer.

Is there any Chance that we will be able to Produce and Train Marines or at least just Train at player owned stations?

Yes, yes, thanks for taking the piss out of me. Simply having an archive with old versions is also something obvious. Maybe I just did not look at the URL.

There were multiple issues, both 3rd party and LUV, that occurred after a new 1.2 full release file was distributed. Because people are human, a level of 'causation and correlation' is to be expected when it comes to newly released work. When one thing breaks that shouldn't, and another seemingly breaks (but was just undocumented), it's a rational assumption that it may be tied to what both parties did: Used 1.2's full installation.

I was patient, tried to provide concise information, offered detailed reproduction steps, and even in the primary LUV thread I attempted to provide possible resolutions for why two people were having sudden issues after 1.2. There was no misguided attempt to redirect it onto my own problems, only a genuine desire to find the root of both issues.

Now we've learned it was because of missing documentation, for his issue. Back to the drawing board with mine - but that means I'm still excited a solution was found for the project as a whole.

As a fellow developer (C, ASM), I know the instinct is to talk down or belittle your userbase because of how little patience is left after hours of code, and millions of moronic users asking questions answered in the documentation.

But try and restrain it, because many of us are here to learn, understand, and help your project grow.
