Maybe the light source should be behind you, Vayde.

I'll get it in another sector when I'm back from work tomorrow. Will post a few others also.

Same sector is probably OK, Vayde. Just move your ship around to the other side of the target ship (so that the light source is behind you, as Litcube suggested).

No need to move my ship as all shots are taken via use of F3 view with shift-H to remove hud.

I think a generally brighter sector would give me better lighting and as I have not yet visited every sector in the mod yet I'll leave that one to Lit to pass on the info.

The lighting problem is not due to the sector, Vayde. It is caused by the camera being in the "shadow" of the ship that you are trying to view. The camera must be moved so that it is between the light source and the ship (in other words, the camera must be "on the bright side" of the ship).

Yes, exactly.

It is even more important in space, because there is no atmosphere to scatter the light. The bright side is bright and the dark side usually is *very* dark.

Basically it's at the stage where Litecube would like to get the permission of the various contributor's such as 3D modelers before the official launch to reduce any friction in the future.

So has there been any progress on this, or does it look like there's not going to be a release?

I've been thinking of starting a new game, but I'd like to know if I should hold off for this or just go ahead.

Litlecube,

Hope you had a nice Holiday.....now, the question everyone is waiting to ask, do you have a release date for your mod?

Thanks

Why can't you simply release it until a complaint against the content is issued? This would be a non money making player created content and I don't see why a blanket "if you have an issue I will remove that content" clause cant apply here.

It is not like you are remotely claiming the content as your own or even trying to claim it as your own. At best you could call it a compilation rather than a mod with your own customization tossed in.
