There may not be an area in that current system to buy fuel too, however that is unlikely, as then your ship would pretty much be stranded.
I can't say how the abort trade commands work, as I have yet to test them myself.
it always uses boosters to travel in a sector, even if you're not around. jumping is the means to travel between sectors only. and it wouldn't even make much sense to jump in the same sector. the jump always ends in in a predetermined position, which is always the center zone of the sector as far as i've seen. so the ship always jumps into the center and then boosts to the according zone.Architekton wrote:If he's got no fuel it takes a lot longer.

Also keep in mind when it's in the same sector as you already,
it won't jump at all but use its booster engines (which basically means
it will travel at the same speed as you do in a normal highway)..
which means it can take AGES if the sector is pretty big.

And yeah, the center sector jump is just an awesome piece of design yet again. Why jump on top of the player if you can make him wait for decades.
Why jump next to a station if you can just jump 6 zones out to maximize delays.
