Hey Paul, love the mod. However I am having a minor issue and not sure if it is the game or not. I started a new game (Humble Merchant) from a fresh AP and XRM install, and for some reason, the Autopilot will engage, but will not actually pilot the ship. I have not gotten to see if it is more then just the starter Mercury as there is no Discoverer anymore.

Ever hear of anything like this? Any ideas on how to fix?

Update: Seems like the SETA is acting up as well. Vanilla had no studdering at 600%, now can't go past 300%. And the autopilot malfunction is game-wide, no matter which start.

In case anyone else has this issue.. figured it out..

Having only X3: Albion installed you can't get the key and register your forum account to download the No-EXE patch. You have to "install" X3: TC in Steam, but since you already have Albion installed it won't actually download anything. It'll just activate TC in your game list and then when you right click you get the Register Game link. The Register Game link doesn't show up when TC is not installed.

Kind of a weird setup.

That can only be that something is installed incorrectly. Can you post a screenshot of your installation folder?

SETA stuttering is simply because of the extra load on the game from the XRM (remember SETA speeds everything up - including the rate the game has to process scripts).

As for the autopilot problem - never heard of that before. The XRM does not touch the autopilot, which is mostly hard coded I think, so it can only be an issue with your X3 installation I think.

AP 3.0 includes support for gamepad controllers. As part of that, the game is now more sensitive if you move the controller during autopilot flight.

Try turning on autopilot without steering.

I don't use a gamepad or joystick, so it is not a problem there (though when it worked I was constantly turning it off on accident anyhow). Paul you answered my question perfectly, I did not know whether XRM affected the autopilot or not. Time to reinstall. Thanks.

And eh, theres always a sacrifice for enhancement, 300% works :)

It does not matter what kind of controller you use... the game is more sensitive to movement now. Reinstalling will not help (probably).

Maybe its another controller that is not calibrated properly, or a mouse that is not flat on a surface - just a slight, unnoticeable movement might be enough to turn the autopilot off.

Easy way to test - unplug every interface except for your keyboard and see if it still does it (I guess it could even be caused by a dodgy keyboard - but probably noticeable in other applications).

Litcube this is amazing! Thank you!

Now if only I can get you to do a couple more corporations in the universe at once all hostile to myself and each other and given your Revelation mod's code for aggressive expansion I could really have a universe trade war.

Sure. It'll have to wait until later today however. But I'll get those up.

Thanks man. I needed that. . . Don't know WHAT I was thinking. On a second note, or the essential and recommended scripts up-to-date with the current XRM version?

I have a steering wheel plugged in once and it kept deactivating SETA and Auto Pilot. Unplug every controller you have apart from the mouse and keyboard.

Ok, im going to start again with this latest installment.

Any ideas on the best start for me to use guys? The war will be turned off and i like to be able to look after myself but get money through trading.

Thoughts welcome :)

Just wondering if anyone has had an issue with missing hotkeys? I can't find them anywhere!! Im looking for the jumpdrive deployment hotkey and it DEFINATELY ISNT in the list of hotkeys anywhere in the control menu, ive checked repeatedly very thouroughly just to make sure. Is it something ive done wrong? I follow xrm installation to the t and only other mods i have are marine repairs, and improved races. Thank you
