The only thing I don't understand is in the added pirate sectors, how come they have free argon trading stations O.o shouldn't they be pirate sectors ?

also any chance of more Xeoan, Ka'ak, and Argon sectors ? :D

just again, Great Job...... keep it up
argon stations?

hi just restarted, there's no change but I think it might be the xtra ship/ station pack, I noticed that your mod removes the custom terran shipyards an replaces with the default. i'll do a fresh install of the game and see if it works. ill keep you informed :D

redownload vanilla version
Did you change the package for vanilla v1.02? The archive looks the same to me, including old time stamps?

Hi! i wanted to say i really like the mod! it is pretty fantastic, other then some minor spelling mistakes, it is pretty great. One thing, when i went to the lost sectors...
Spoiler
Show
i was expecting to be greeted by huge fleets of xenon or terraformer craft, sadly there were none. It may be a cool extra if you could work it out.
Also, i use the sector takeover script by tickmov http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=243791 which spawns random unknown sectors. With your mod installed it changes how the map is handles so the unknown sectors do not show up on the map, which is inconvenient because it is hard to locate the unknown sector that you are looking for. any input on how to fix this?

thanks!

@oddgit

STO does not spawn random sectors. ketraar's Rsm does that. that mod uses the same sector locations as this one; so it won't work properly and it will frak up your game.
i should mention that in the op.

what spelling mistakes?

Next time i see it i will PM you, it was something basic like a double letter. That or i was imagining things. Im not very good at spelling, so it may be my mistake and i imagined it. :/

Hmm, sad. I like the random new sectors. Its fun to grab them before the Xenon do.

Thank you for this great mod. The sectors are beautifull.
I did however changed it to my liking:
I just completely added your files into the game itself by editing the X-universe map, adding your sectors and adding the sector-descriptions to another file, really nice work. This way at game-start all the ships, civs, militairy etc are there from the start, now the sectors are more lively from the start. Just wondering how to make this a non-flat map. Tried though, sectors were there, but not shown on map, after adding the 00749.bpd file they are shown, but now the X-universe map is flat. I guess I have to live with that.
Hope you don't mind, it's just for personal use. Thanx again for this, great work.

well, that's great! i didn't add new sectors to the "normal" map since people use many different mods, with different maps and i mean... who would keep track of that? i'd have to maintain 3-4 maps all the time.
having empty sectors for 3-4 hours is a good price to pay for having higher compatiblity.

regarding the flat map... well, you can't really do much. i'm to lazy to do a proper model for it (learn how to model it, then do it), and creating a flat map is really easy (the tool i used is mentioned in OP and it is great).

the issue with sectors not showing is that 00749 has to contain every existing sector... otherwise, they just don't show. the unfocused jump drive sector is one such example. it existst in map file, but not in 00749 and so it is not shown on the galaxy map.

if i wanted to have all sectors shown, i'd have to make a map file with all posible sectors connected, and then make bod file for that. right now, that just seems like too much work.

I agree with you, I have many different copies of the X-Universe-file all in different styles or edited to my liking, even so of the game itself, sometimes I wonder why, but than again I like to change excisting stuff in games, but unfornatedly lack the knowhow, but I'm getting there. Thanx to people like you and members/modders of this forum I learn(ed) a lot.

I just changed things back, but left the X-universe as it is, will try things out with different scripts to make the sectors shown on the map.
