The other requirement for shipbuilding in the PHQ is credits, selling off the microchips after the plot will provide for this element of shipbuilding ;)

About spoilers; in fairness, Spike did say that the replies aren't expected to be spoiler tagged so I'm not sure they're needed when explaining how to mobile mine etc.
Where's the kaboom? There was supposed to be an earth-shattering kaboom!

I believe the technical term for my framerate in both savage spur and ore belt where I have these large complexes is PANTS

Probabl;y it has been mentioned but it is possible to buy ore and silicon off the market, almost entirely. I know I did it this way. I had a single TL mobile mining in Seizewell, other than that, all ore and silicon was brought in by a couple of Super freighters (four of them if I am right) and it did not even took so long.

It's true that I only had 5 UT's in that game ... so the X-economy was weak, and mines were always full.

How does mines of fortune sound for a sector homebase? Over 60 roids with several of them being very high yield silicone, over 70 in some cases. Not the safest place yet though and I don't posses an m2 at the moment.

Got 120mil so was going to set up my home base and use it to make more money and buy an m2 to protect it and then expand it.

Also it appears that the enhanced dolphin is docked in a station so I can't get at it, reloaded and hoping he's going to move on at some point from it.

Sorry to bump this, but there's something killing me:

Do I have to be EXACTLY on Trading Level 6 (Apprentice Trader)? Or can I be on a higher rank? The same doubt goes to Boron Notoriety.

This because I'm wandering on Southwest Boron sectors for hours and this guy haven't contacted me yet. What am I doing wrong?

You can have a higher rank.

Thank you!

But is it normal to wait that long?

EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out what went wrong. An advice is: Don't increase your reputation via cheat menu, it'll get bugged.

I think Ore Belt is measured in Seconds per Frame in my current game, with a solid green stream of freighters from one gate to the complex hub, & the rest of the system is covered in complex connector spaghetti!

I dare not enter the system incase something enters via the north gate & rams into the connector tube about 1km out, right across the centre of the gate!
:D
Bring back the TS Pirate Ship, I miss my liberated fleet runing around the universe
Maybe a fleet of liberated Pirate Ship Super Freighters

I noticed that the guide tells you to store future required resources in fleets of TLs and TSs but I'm curious, what happens if you put the future resources into the hub early?

Eg your doing the teladianium quest but you start shipping ore into the hub for the next quest. Will it be in the hub ready to be used when the ore quest starts? or does it disapear into oblivion?

the hub , while huge, can only hold so much.

ie. out of the 450k of ore, your hub can only store 5k. so even if you did send the hub the ore you still need 445k...if you wanted to store it upfront, considering it requires 8 xl, doing it with mammoths it would take 60 ish ships...

.... Really?

there has got to be some way around that.

Use CLS transports. Set them like this:

External Commodity:
Waypoints

Add Station: Ore Mine X
Load: Refuell jump energy
Load: Resource: Ore: Max Cargo

Add Station: Hub
Unload: Ore: Max Cargo
Unload: Ore: Max Cargo
Unload: Ore: Max Cargo
Unload: Ore: Max Cargo
Unload: Ore: Max Cargo

I did this 450 000 ore part with 20 ore mines. Now when I have 200 000 crystals left to deliver (3 crystal complexes working, each containing 3 crystal fabs).

You realize the post you're responding to is 2 years old, right?

This is a Walkthrough guide thread so it doesn't get locked because of its age. However, it's a waste of time responding to ancient posts. You can use this thread to ask current questions, though.
Have a great idea for the current or a future game? You can post it in the [L3+] Ideas forum.

Yeah My apologies, been a while since I was last on here and I caught on about that in another old thread I looked at. :S

How do You GET AROUND THIS!? I have connected the gate to a sector with all the ore and n-mines I could need. I have 2-3 Super Mistrals running none stop from the mines to the hub, but the hub is maxed out at 5k ore and not even close to that in N! WTH do I do?

Are you delivering the ore when it's called for or trying to pre-deliver it? If it's not called for, you can unload up to it's limit, then no more because the off loaded ore isn't consumed.

Be patient. The Hub is a longterm project. Just keep your freighters running and do something else. BTW, there are worse parts than the ore-hauling...
