Question of curiosity then, how do you get stuff like that into skyrim without the CK? is there a series of console commands for that sort of thing?

Steps I use:

1. Create with 3DS Max
2. Export as NIF
3. Open with NifScope, do a bunch of stuff with this tool and save.
4. Using SkyEdit (replace with Creation Kit) create an entry for this object
5. Console command "player.placeatme itemcode" (this is the answer to your question)
6. Console commands: getangle, setangle, getposition, setposition as needed.

The Creation Kit (coming next Tuesday) will be used for "properly" placing objects into Skyrim cells.

So how does the game treat it? Can you make it fly with explosions, or does it just behave like any other house?

that's cause there are no good-looking dragonmasks imo

my pure mage is just about to enter slovengard. for a cloth wearing mage at lvl 49, all the deathlords at the place where you get dropped off (at work and forgot the name atm) was fun in a 'omg omg don't get hit' kind of way. (and they were all deathlords, bar I think 5 assorted scourges/wrights)
she's got 200 heath, 100 stamina and 690 magic, so those ebony bow wielding lords oneshot her.
but her 2 dremora lord summons are a great distraction :wink:
and she's not wearing the most powerful gear, just cloths I've enchanted. (didn't like the look of masks & the archmage robe so she's wearing:
Mourners Cloths, Boots and Gloves with a tiara, necklace and ring (all with double enchantments)

Enchant 4 items with fortify (magic school) 25% two times 92 different schools) in order to get infinite casting in 2 schools. Infinite lightning storm is incredibly powerful/funny. Coupled with 100 sneak and at will invisibility is well within the realms of ridiculousness...

Once I've hit the level cap I'm gonna give myself every perk through console commands.
That's still a long way off of course, but still. I yearn to be a god among men XP

This house is designed to behave like a house (not flying).

That said, the mod I'm working on for Skyrim is based on a spaceman (or women) crashing their ship someplace in Skyrim, and the house I built is intended to look like a future design (relative to standard Skyrim architecture). I'll import one of my X3 spaceship models (Evader M6) and place it at the crash site.

The pilot will have knowledge of future technology, so the house will have interior electric lighting and solar panels on the roof among other things. :)

Where has the spaceship come from? I'm getting 'Indiana Jones and the Saucer men from Mars' Vibes here :)

LOL. The spaceship comes from the XUniverse. It got lost in space and landed in Skyrim. :D

nice but it's not the way I'm running her...
So she's just finished the final MQ and back home to alchemy her the last 1/4 lvl to 50 (to get the steam achivement).
She's now got all the masks and is on her way back to the labyrinth to collect the final one, on the way she's getting a shout and with 4-5 shouts left to get she may (or not) do the civil war questline.
It'll give some break-up of the travelling to High Hrothgar and back for those last shouts (no-fast travel means up and back is a bit of tedium).
Then I think it's retirement for her.

Don't know who to use next, I've got a lvl 36 Orc who's master of the thieves guild and DB and a Nord Mercenary (non-magic) at lvl 21.
or the Argonian 2-hander and Breton Spell-sword (both just out of Helgar)
or start the Redguard Alchemist or Wood-elf hunter that are floating about in my head.
or try DiD on something (maybe the hunter)

or take a break to play X3-AP :)

Anyone find a work around for a dual weapon equipping hotkey?

Is it really that difficult to mod one in, or something? (non modder speaking here)
