did you give the Cheatmenue a button in the settings? You must enable a button /Hotkey in the menue where you can set your profile. Then and only then you can use the cheatmenue.

I'm starting to think this is all a big conspiracy to drive me insane, lol. I've spent the last 3 hours trying to make this work. I have read several pages on this thread trying to find the answer, but there are so many pages and so many responses, it's hard to focus! But I digress.

I clicked "Download" at the beginning of the thread. I get a file called "CheatCollectionPackege-V1.60....spk" So now what? Where do I put it? How can I access the "plugin manager" spoken of at the beginning of the page? I double click the "CheatCollectionPackage" file, and all I get is a message saying there is no application set to open the document.

Again, sorry if this has been answered all ready, it's just really difficult to sort through this huge thread. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Mr Cycrow, the "add ware&equipment" function of your cheat script is vary efficient in saving time. Nevertheless, as a Valcan that seeks logic, the fact that it's still cheating can not be ignored. It would be much more realistic to cost the equal credits when installing shields and lasers, etc. Many thanks, live long and prosper.

Your logic is wrong. The script is part of a cheat package. In this respect it's not that surprising that the script itself is a cheat. In fact it would be illogical, if a part of a cheat package is not a cheat. Also to argue that a script has to be 'realistic' to fit into an unrealistic game is not very logical.

u can download the plugin manager from the link in the sticky at the top of this forum

Hi Folks,

I know you must all get sick of the same questions and I have read the forum but not found the answer.

Love the game but honestly - I suck at it - getting killed by Xenon L's and M's is not fun and frankly made me want uninstall and go back to COD. ( i suck at this too btw) but decided to get a bit of help with what seems to be a great pack fron Cycrow.

So...
1) I have done the "Thereshallbewings" name change - works, i can open the SE inside the game.
2) I have got X-universe plug-in manager Lite v1.30 - installed fine and runs -Changed from vanilla mode to Mod mode.
3) Have downloaded the Cycrow cheat collection package v1.60
4) try and install through the plug in manager but i get a pop window saying "Failed to install etc" and lists all the scipt names i didnt install.
5) Have pulled clumps of hair from head, drank tea, open 2nd pack of Marlies, unistalled the lot and tried again.
6) Same result

I know it must be me doing something wrong but i just dont know what.

Any help really is apprciated.

the usual cause for such a problem is either a curropt download, or more likly, due to access rights to your game directory

if your using vista or 7 and you installed the game into program files, then its most likly that windows is blocking the plugin manager from installing.

running in admin mode sometimes fixes it, althou the better soloution is to install the game outside of program files if possible

also, if your experienced with windows file permisions, u might be able to get it working by changing those

disabling UAC can also fix it, but the other solutions are better

Thanks : launching the PlugIn Manager with "run as administrator" worked perfectly. All mods are visable and work., lovely app by the way, but nothing you havn't heard before.

I would have responded sooner but have only just stopped kicking myself for not realising this was the answer in the first place.

Hi all,

was wondering if someone could help with my problem, I have downloading the Cheat Script and the plug in manager and i have installed the script.

I have also enabled the script editor inside the game "Thereshallbewings" but i can not find the cheat menu.

So could someone plz tell me where the menu is so i can use it.

Is this package "hotswappable?" i.e. can I install it, make some changes to a save file, then disable it again without having to run uninstall scripts? I'd like to cheat my way past some things I just don't find enjoyable (namely the Hub...) and add a few things to my docks, but having the cheat menu there is just too tempting for me to say "screw it, I'm cheating in a whole fleet and killing everything. "

Can't seem to get the Menu option for the Cheat package or get the Hotkey to work.

Running X3:TC 3.1 Steam version. Just returned to X3 after a long break away in EvE

Followed all the help items, installed the package manager, installed Cheat package, did Thereshallbewings, set Hotkey as Shift+0, etc.

I can access the scripts from the Command->Script Editor and I can even run the 'Cheat: Main Menu...' script from there (using 'r') and get the menu to come up after selecting a couple of options ("Select yes/no" for example) but cannot get it to launch or appear as a menu item any other way.

Any ideas? It is 'working' with the manual launch method as I told it to add some credits to my account and that worked fine.

yeah once u remove the script, it wont continue to function
