Sure that's why I posted itjoao.sa@inbox.com wrote:Do I have Your permission to use it as wallpaper?

I'm not going to be responsible for any side effects to your health though, looking at teaser images can wear on you mind.

I hope they don't remove it, at least not unless they replace it with something like an FTL drive. SETA is intended for use in decreasing travel time. Using it for other purposes like reducing one's trade/combat ranks, or to speed up the earning of money by one's AI fleet, is perhaps the most common exploit in the game (in the latter case, one I've used myself during complex-building).Ahem wrote:I really hope that seta has been done away with (which is doubtful i admit).
Basically, it's a question of making the game user-friendly. Without SETA, a lot of the game becomes incredibly boring because it takes so long to get anywhere without it. (I've flown ships without SETA, and I know what I'm talking about.) This is especially true in regions like Sol, Aldrin, Patriarch's Retreat, Avarice, Zyarth's Dominion, etc. where the standard sector map view is >100 km in radius.
Huge sectors are the bane of most X-players, as I said: it takes too long to get anywhere without a jumpdrive. And in-sector, all you can do is jump to the gate nearest your destination and use SETA to decrease your travel time. Unless somebody managed to reverse-engineer a Kha'ak or Xenon jumpdrive in the interval between X3TC and X-R, we won't be able to jump directly to our destination if it's well off the trade lanes.I'd love for there to be only a few sectors. Like 10 or 15 maybe, but each sector is HUGE and they all have in sector trade lanes for fast travel. Similar enough to freelancer i guess. I really liked the travel system in that game.
Also, after the 200+ sectors of X3TC, having only a dozen or so in X-Rebirth would be incredibly limiting. I want more sectors to fool around in, not less. I sometimes feel limited in X3, for that matter: my construction projects have used up a lot of the best silicon asteroids.

Well, i did mean for them to increase travel speeds. Maybe include some real physics, so travel speed is only limited by the distance you have to accelerate... with big sectors, you could potentially get up to huge speeds, meaning travel time across a sector would get exponentially lower the bigger the sector is (as theres more room to accelerate)StarSword wrote:I hope they don't remove it, at least not unless they replace it with something like an FTL drive. Anyway, this is all hypothetical and talking about it here wont change it! The game is already nearly done. Just some polish left to iron out i suspect...
