for those who don't know how to sell the only ship they own here it is

exit your ship and land on the station in ur space suit tell ur ship to dock with the ship yard ur on and trade like u were selling any other ship that u captured then buy ur new ship and enter it that is the best way to get a bigger ship in split start in less the ships contain sentimental value like ur mamba and dragon as the game does not pay for sentament

I found where the dragon hatchlings spawn - Do I call David Attenborough or the exterminators?

I am flying a Drake - had it for an age now- and simply don't want to part with it - I've taken down everything from Khaak clusters and Xenon PXs with it, nothing larger mind.

Heavy Osprey looks a decent buy now too - I watched a pirate one in combat and it is pretty meaty.

Damn this thing is ruining by social life. - My other half took delivery of a Latex Nun's outfit and I've said I can't make it round to see her until friday... That's just wrong! :(

Two questions to the team:
1. is there any ETA on the first patch, to fix the most obvious bugs

2. What was the design idea behind making Triplex Scanner an XL cargo size? It can't even fit in anything smaller than M7 (or is there an M6 that can carry such cargo)...

Ok so I got a Bradburry (or something like that; a xenon missile) and 2 IREs from buying a Octopus CQ but I can't sell them. When I try at the local military dock I get the "Resources are not bought" message.

Wares are race specific. argon wont buy xenon because argon cant use xenon that sorta thing. its been changed. for example in vanilla if i picked up sting missiles i could sell them at any eq dock but im not sure if i can in xtc.

Also, how am I supposed to sell the xenon missile then? And isn't the IRE universal?

Well I managed to sell all my loot to an EqD, except a few missile, so I suppose it must be true.

Loot from a mass Paranid vs Pirates attack, where the Pirate M8s got pwned. Now I've got enough for a reasonable M3, and some TCSMk3 for my traders. What fighter would you suggest?

Ehhh... am I the only person here that does not encounter space battles (or even fights) unless I trigger them via a mission?

If it don't stock it, your can't sell it. But you can sell ships at any SY/dock. I'm stuck with some Kyon beams, till I find a use for them. :roll:

You can use the trick posted on the XTC forum:

1. Turn off the Equipment dock option in the AL-plugin menu, and EQ will behave like in vanilla, i.e. you can sell everything to them, except that, for the items that it stocks, you can only sell until the EQ is full
2. Now turn the EQ option back on (default), and now you can sell to the EQ everything that it stocks!!!!

In Entry Point, I spotted and Argon Eclipse shooting at Terran Scabbard. WTF was that? I'm a Terran patriot, so I convert that eclipse to space dust and lost some Argon reputation (but no Terran reputation increase). Again WTF was that?


Speaking of triplex scanners, I have an idead for new ship type:

type: SWACS (aka space AWACS)
class: M6
shields: 1 GJ
weapons: no front guns, 4-6 lingth anti-fighter turrets (like A/B-EMPC, PAC, PBE)
Price: similar to M6
Speed: bit slower than M6
Agility: very low

build in special component: quadtrix scanners

Because those scanner wouldn't be avaliable as stand alone product, the only way to have them is to buy AWACS. Becasuse the ship itself is quite small and weak it would have to be escorted or move in capitalship group.

Such advance and large scanners would be ideal for XTC as some of sectors are preatty large.

Thanks for the tip but I'm trying away from exploits like this :P

I'm facing a some what related issue.

In Boron sectors, I can shoot any split ship (I started off with them at -5 to me) without the police killing me. I also gain Boron rep. The odd thing is that the police don't shoot the Split at all. Shouldn't they be attacking them? (These are just traders btw not Split invasion forces)

Talk about making scouting easy, just fly to middle of sector activate command and all is revealed. :o

yeah object reveal can miss distant gates :)

one thing from vanilla i could never understnd was that you can remotly control the whole of you trade empire but you have to be within 25k of a station to comm?

+ contacts messaging you can send you and speak you messages from anywere.

i move for having the comms range extended to sector wide. set it to 20,000 or something so you can comm anywere in the sector :D
