@Arghy:
I think just your expectations for M7s are wrong. In Vanilla they are the absolute uber-ships. In XTC they are normally balanced, thus they have their advantages and problems like every other class.

Any idea if it will be possible to run this mod on a mac version on X3tc? I mean could it be released in a non exe format so it can be easily installed as normal mod. Also I understand that the mac version of the game is still in a pre 2.5, but would that really make a huge difference since the game is so reworked anyways?

Technically it could. 2.5 is fine for XTC it doesn't use the plotline from X3TC anyway. Only thing that would possibly be different is the Griffon.

Technically XTC is made to be compatible with 3.0. We can't guarantee any functionality for other, older versions.

2.5 added some new SE commands, which are most likely used in XTC. So no, it probably won't be compatible, even if we make it available in non-exe format. :(

I would be happy to try it out on my mac if there was an easy way to convert it. As im not very computotechnic Im assuming that getting the exe into a mac files would be complicated(?).

Otherwise ill just go find a copy of windows XP and bootcamp it. Amazing job on the mod anyways.

@Arghy:
You're, like trick already said, running into the fact, that the ships were reworked. The M7 class stayed almost the same, the rest of the ships got a little better. So, yes, if you face some M6 in your M7, they will be able to do some damage. This is XTC, and having a M7 does not mean that you're the king of any battle field ;)

You have chosen a double bladed start. You were given a shiny big ship, but you start like every other player, with the same trade and fight ranks. Your task should be to raise your reputation and fighting ranks, in whichever way you choose to. The missions will consider which shiptype you're bringing in, but if your rep and ranks are too low, the NPC will rate your ability to kill something so low, that they think you need a M7 to destroy a M5 ;) With a M7, you may loose time, and it will take you longer to raise your rep and ranks due to the fact that you're flying so slow. If you have trouble with this, sell the M7 and buy yourself a suitable fighter for your playstyle. Of course, you'll still need the rep to do so ;) But you will be given 31 million credits. After a while, they recognise that you have a M7 at hand. They look at your property, so you will get bigger targets.

If the explosion blasts are annoying, switch them off. Go to the AL plugin menu and switch them off. Problem solved. Your M5 takes also damage from a blast, you're just faster than your M7, which has to take the hit. In your M5, you're quicker and out of range, when the blast is happening.

Wait, you thought that an M6 should genuinely have a 360 speed?

Wouldn't call it a bug. Better call it 'balancing'. ;)

Did you see the price of the Hyperion? And the weaponary? It cannot match a M6 and is more expensive ;)
