The JOB is the part of the AL that create\remove ships, like the GOD made with stations.

What version of XTM are you running? What version of X3:R? What other mods are you running alongside XTM?

I'm find more people with the same problem, but never see a solution :cry: , not in egosoft forums not in TXU forums.

Does XTM report that it is installed correctly/incorrectly when you start it up?

All new XTM games start with very few traders. (I think) They should increase over time.

Is installed correctly.

The problem is that the traders not increase over time, is more, the traders decrease over the time at the point that their literally dissapear of the universe.

I'm already try wihout other scrips/mods, but the bug has appeared earlier.

By the way, ¿your know is exist a conflict with the Local Trader and the XTM? Wtih de LT installed my UT's turns stupids, their have plenty of proffitable trading routes, but most of time their are on Stand-By or carring small amounts of food (as example: 34 units of Nostrop Oil) when their can buy other stuff at low price and sell at maxímum price, including level 20 traders. (note: I'm not try the LT wihtout the XTM).

Try uninstalling the Cockpit mod.

[X3 XTM] A lot of problem on Win 7

hy, i've changed my computer and this game pc have win 7 64bit.
my game is X3 reunion 2.5 and X Tended Mod + plougin manager for some scripts:
X-fleet ships
x0ne turret control
and others.

i've lot of problems these days, i've manually istalled the XTM package, and the game is installed in a user folder (not program (x84)).
yesterday the game work fine, but today i've got CTD every time i will enter in Ore Belt... after some hours i've tryed another time and i was in, so i went to talk with the Solitas ship, next i went to Argon prime for start the mission, stanted in home of light, in ore belt i've got another CTD, i've re-tryed and i was in, so i've fight and after i followed the mammuth to paranid prime.
in paranid prime the mammuth is stopped... wait and wait the mission won't end, so i closed the game and loaded a previus savegame, in orebelt, this time the convoy made the same strange thing.
i've tryed o load the savegame near solitas, but i will got CTD in every previus savegame.
i've re installed the mods, but i dont' know the right SPK file for install XTM in ploughin manager, i've found only the 0.7.2 SPK file and the 0.7.5 italian translation!!!!!!
someone can help me?
tank you.
PS i won't play vanilla.

You don't need the .spk file for XTM anymore. It's all incorporated in the new install file. Which is version 0.7.5. You can find it at www.thexuniverse.com

boh, i'm not shure, because if i make this i've got some errors like installing problems via mail ingame.
i've got an error 8via mail) that says a problem of jobs file...sometimes it happen... it's normal?
so now i can install some scripts in ploughin manager and play without problem? i will try

Ok first thing to do is, REMOVE the XTM .spk from the plugin manager. It is not needed, because the scripts are incorporated in the new 0.7.5 install.

Hi

First of all, a big "awe" to the XTM team for creating this great "add-on" to X3 :D

So to my little problem.

I have tried starting a new game with only XTM installed five times now, and each time I get this message:
You have tried to use the Xtended mod, but it seems the game engine was unable to load the job files.
In our experience this can happen sometimes, but it is unfortunately something we cannot fix.
We strongly recommend that you try a re-start.
Is this normal? Have I done something wrong? Is there something I can do to make XTM work correctly?

Hmmmm. Have you tried a re-start? Have you been to www.thexuniverse.com? Full installation instructions are in the game FAQ's on that site.

Hi Buck_Rogers, thanks for your reply.

I have tried to restart and reinstall. Before this message appear I get the ingame message from XTM saying everything is ok. If I use the AI plugin in XTM to verify the installation it say that all files are present. So I think the installation is ok.

I know that some people have reported that it is little life in space except from military ships when they use XTM. I also experienced that when I played X3R last year. So I think the problem with loading the job files is the cause for that. Since this is a know problem it probably is a long shot to expect to find a solution :)

Search in the AL plugins for the mod integrity check. Activate it and have a look at the result. If everything is "passed" then you shouldn't have problems. However, if you installed other mods or scripts, there can be problems. Especially if you use additional ships or stations. Most of those problems can be solved by removing those scripts/mods. Sometimes it can be hard ;) In case you encounter serious problems, you should post on http://www.thexuniverse.com/forum.php (TXU)
