NEW Terran Starts - For use with Cadiuses Ship Pack [On Hold]
I've been greatly enjoying Cadiuses ship pack and here's my way of giving something back. Basically there are currently 5 new starts included in this pack, all of them using ships made by Cadius. This is an Alpha Test, so there will probably be bugs. Please test.
Included:
1. Lost Terran[Medium] - Your carrier group was destroyed deep in pirate space, you job is to get back to Terran space to report this incident and wait for reassignment.
2. USC Border Patrol[Hard] - After receiving your long awaited promotion you have been called to defend Terran space against AGI. Stand your ground at all cost.
3. Mining Corp.[Easy] - You won a tender to mine newly established outer Sol sectors. Do not waste any time.
4. USC Traitor[Hard] - Deciding that you had enough of Terran supremacy, you stole valuable fighter prototypes from ATF and made a run for it, but your actions were discovered before you were able to escape.
5. USC Salvage Crew[Easy] - After a big battle with AGI, you were called to perform salvage and rescue operation.
On the way:
1. A detailed plot for each included start (10% done)
2. 5 more starts including:
a. Diplomatic Escort - after peace talks with Paranid Empire fail it's your job to get politicians home
b. Yorgstingot Task Force - Big Fun Surprise.
3. Detailed storyline for each start.

3. Place it in your X3TC Directory as highest numbering .cat
4. Enjoy

do Extra Starts have to be merged like mods or can they just be put together as i'm already using the Vanilla Malt Gamestarts by Snowship

I decided to keep these starts separate for couple of reasons:
a. They are unlike other starts introduced so far, each start has it's own little plot so this makes them more prone to bugs.
b. I don't want to hijack cadiuses thread.
c. This is going to be a pretty big project and I would like people to help with ideas as well as concepts.

Starts do have to be merged, and I'll consider doing that once I complete my work.

Will it be possible to make most of the plots (if it's plot wise) avaliable for every start ? So that if you're bored with border patrol you can move to minning corp? Or even make some of the plots avaliable to vanilla gamestarts.
I just finished all plots and game starts to be bit boring so every new plot would be fun without need to start whole game again.
Questions:
1) Do you plan to make non-Terran plots (cadius ship pack has a split and Paranid ship) ? Like Teladi, Paranid or even Pirate plot?
2) Is it possible to have a gamestart with finished (historically, not by player itself) vanilla plots, like having aldrin frontier connected with Sol via new Terran gate and Hub fully operational and (maybe) buyable by player for a rudiculous amount of credits?

1. USC Border Patrol > 2. USC Salvage Crew > 3. USC Traitor > 4. USC Special Forces vs 5. Paranid Defense Force > 6. Diplomatic Escort > 7. Lost Terran > 8. Yorgstington Task Force. With Mining Corp. somewhere in the middle supplying the war effort. But there's still a lot of MD code to type so I have released just the starts so far with very small plot parts. Once I have finished all the development I might release just a plot version for vanilla gamestarts, but I don't know yet. I really like how the new ships fit into the plots.

2. I have been thinking of that for Yorgstington Task Force. Basically it would go something like this:
a. A new Task Force was formed after an allien attack on the Solar system destroyed 3rd and 5th Fleets.
b. Player as a commander of this task force is set up in his/her own sector with some support from Terran military.
c. The player must wage war on either Split or Paranid and all the player actions will be monitored, so if player decides to go against the Terrans, his Task Force might not or might agree with him.
d. etc.... etc... etc...
As for completed plots, I do want to implement this, but since there's already a great version made by Ketraar just for this, I would only do it with his permission.
The basic development and release circle will follow the plan mentioned above: USC Border Patrol > Salvage Crew.... etc.
I always welcome new ideas and storylines so if anyone wants to pitch in on creative side, I'll only welcome it.

I mean that it would be good to have your plots avaliable for vanilla gamestarts with Cadius ships, not modify your plots to be usable without Cadius ships.Once I have finished all the development I might release just a plot version for vanilla gamestarts, but I don't know yet. Don't worry about being a noob, we all have to start somewhere and welcome to the forums. The first thing you should do if you want answers is to read through the thread first to see if someone else has asked the same question and had it answered. If, failing this, you can look through the "Stickies" at the top of the main thread for your answers. If this doesn't work then ask your question in the relivant thread. For example, the answer to this question is in the "stickies".
But, here it is anyway.
You say you have put the files in the main directory, good step 1 done.
You will have cat/dat files in there. Prob go to 09.cat and 09.dat . If this is the case, rename the new files one number higher. So you need to name them 10.cat and 10.dat . If you already have these go up one more number, and so on.
If you have any probs, "Yoa'll come back now'.

Question, I am using New Terran Starts by Igor.tverd, and I started as a Terran Miner, which starts with the Mobile Mining Base-Ship.
I have two issues. First, the model does not look like the one on the first post, it must be the old model. Why is this?
Secondly, there's like 6 Baldric Freighters that are spawned in my mining base, but they refuse to un-dock. Even if I switch into them, I cannot undock.
Any idea what might be causing this? The only reason I'm posting here, is because the model never did update, so it might be related, not sure.
