I'm all up with you guys! Caddius is doing a great job! I wish I was so creative. I've made some models of my own but I don't even dare to post them! Yeah they where that bad!mark_a_condren wrote:I'll second this.People need to chill tho, he is doing this on his own time. I know everyone is excited about his ships, but let him release info and the like at his own pace, lest he get burned out(seen it before with other games and their modders, sad sad days when it happens)
We need to be gratefull that he has spent obviously so much time so far so as we can can benifit from his talents. It would be all to easy to push to the point that his work of love becomes something he dreads.
We should also remember that this is his Mod, and he needs to do it his way so he is happy with it. Sure, make suggestions, give feedback and point out any errors "nicely" ( no i'm not saying anyone hasn't been nice about pointing out problems).
I for one would much rather have Cadious release work at a steady pace for a long time, rather than Heaps all at once and then he can't bear to do it any more.
I'm as excited as anyone else at the prospect of new high quality ships. But, lets let him release them at his own pace when he is ready.
I've been reading the posts in this thread since the begining, as most of us have. Lets keep this kind of creativity and foster it rather than getting gready and pushy causing it to become stiffled.
I think i speek for everyone when i say, Cadious, we appreciate your time and effort you put in so as we may also benifit. Thank You.
MarCon

Caddius man keep up the great work and just make whatever you like. It's your party!

there was a big thing about this awhile back, im not sure if they allow porting their ships and offering them to the public, infact i think the person who did the BSG mod had a post about it ill look for it.However if youre building them up and they look like it, i dont see how that could be a problem, might need a moderator to take a look and confirm or denyCadius wrote: As for EVE ships... anyone know if we are allowed to port models? I found an exporter tool sanctioned by CCP.

But by any means... With every model you have to make sure that when it looks like an existing model you have permission from the owners of the model! CCP who (as far as I know) owns the EVE models are not very compliant in giving permission to recreate or even copy there models.
Without pemissions you risk lawsuits against Egosoft and getting this forum closed down.
Just so everyones keeps that in mind while they ask for all sorts of replicas!!!
Did I ever tell you I like your models?

Then we'll just have to settle for ships "inspired" by EVE
Anyway, the Shamsir is now called the ATF M4+ Hel

Those long wings make me worry about docking this thing to TMs. Did you tested them for it?
Maybe you could remove "outer section" of wing and keep only the "inner section" (those additional engines)? this way it would have some features of argon fighters like Nova - it could be ATF fighter designed with Argon inspiration.
here is a quick paint job:

IMHO looks way cooler to me.
BTW did you considered making ATF combat TP that would be a sucessor of X-shuttle from X1 (I think that one TC path added this model to TC).

Am i allowed to say i like both Cadious's and mr.WHO's version?
Like an A type and a B type.
Cadious's being the A type (Attack). The wings give it the impresssion of being highly manouverable and high speed.
while
mr.WHO's being the B type (Bomber). It gives the the impression of being a chunkier bomber type variant. Not quite as fast or manouverable but heavier shields and payload. It has that robust appearance about it.
or maybe even an M4 and M3 ?

I like the Hel (good name) but i also really liked the Shamsir ... it looked very mutch a Teladi ship to me and i'm wondering if you still have that model could you consider giving it to the Teladi as a new ship or perhaps replacing the Falcon ships (the reunion/TC falcon bears no resemblance to the old one at all).
Don't want to harrass though ... it's just an idea.

Somehow the wings don't realy comply with the ATF style I'm with Mr. Who on that. But somehow they are starting to grow on me and I seem to like it more after having a look at it a couple of times.
I think it's because they look a bit long and thin. If they where a bit shorter and thicker...? Maybe they would feel more ATF I don't know.
But I'll use it ingame that's for sure!
Ps. Mr. Who's version is also looking great!

There is, but I like the Hel and Verdandi as they are and those wings were kinda what I was aiming for so I won't change that.
MarCon gave a nice idea bout the a bomber variant, I might go with that. An M3B for the ATF.. with a twist, instead of giving it torpedo launchers like the Falchion this one won't even be able to carry missiles. Relies instead on forward mounted Matter/Anti-Matter Launchers for fast strafing runs on capships.
