there are only 2 rules

1. Stay in the same ship
2. Do not have any other combat ships in the sector until you get to warrior DMA rank

maz, you need not understand why the payouts are different, only that they are ;)

Hi LV,

Sorry to bother you again, somethings has gone amiss with the dma interface menu. After getting the emp working I've been able to build the emergency jump drive & shield transfer research stations, install the generators into the dma HQ and put them into my own stations for production.

Yesterday I finally got around to researching the subspace cloak, though when accessing the dma menu there was no option to build the research station. I waited till after I installed the ssc generator into the dma HQ to try to build the research station again and still don't have the option. I had a purchase station reward that was unused, so I bought up another station; that option went away though the build research station still won't show up. Am at a loss on what to do, my 2 previous stations still function fine but can't build a new one for whatever reason? Any suggestions? :?

In regards to one of the previous posts, if you use a FTL drive (cygrows advanced hyperdrive) for an in sector jump, does dma consider that a cheat with regards to reducing your payment? Even with all MARS drones deployed for missile defense against 3 or 4 missile frigates is usually fatal. A Tyr at full shields can barely withstand bombardment from 1, and anything smaller is usually toast after 2 hits. Only ways I can usually manage such difficult situations w/o jumping is to use the dma hq as a shield (which probably scares the station manager to death seeing the dozens of missile barages directed at him :lol: )
The surest way to make something easy to use, with few errors, is to make it impossible to do otherwise

First add the claok to the HQ which you have done, have you then got a subspace generator on your ship (you must do another extreme dma and add on to the HQ and buy it)

LV I fought you in the arena, I killed you a few times, then the game started Cheating :(

your ship was a ghost, nothing can hit it, and nothing can stop it, I even tried to ram it, but it went inside me :(

the only thing that could hit it was an Ion cannon, that I had to call in with an M2 ship, jumped in to kill it...

att first I called my 2 M2 in with normal weapons, and it looked stupid as my M7, 2 M2 tried to hit the ghoust you... I swarmed it with missiles and with drones, but only the Ion was good, why is that? :D

Nah i'll leave that comment :D

Yes if you take me on i'm hard to kill but proximity explosives also do the trick as well as player detonated missles ;)

well... still haveing problems with the script :(

no, not to kill LV, that goes nicely... my problem is, that I get ~3 waves of enemys, but after the 2nd wave my game freezez and cant do anything, just to hit Ctrl+Alt+Del :(

how can I repair this? or what can be done to keep the game from freezing?

Any chance on your DMA Hotkeys as a Stand Alone script? i love them, but im trying to run a "lean" game, and dont want the whole DMA this early ingame (i just restarted so i could get the Ship Rebalence Mod to work)

I know, im asking for more work from your side, but i just love that part of DMA, (i love DMA as a whole, but im not ready for it yet)

nope, no moded ships

but I have a partly good solution for it, I reinit the script cache after every wave and so it can run for a while, but when I get an M1 or M2 as enemy the game freezez no matter what I do :(

I have all the PC power thats needed for huge battles, have all the required scripts, have some weapon systems installed, but tried to turn them off, but it was the same with them as without them...

I tried with more and less ships, tried with bigger and smaller ships to, but nothing seems to help in this for me, but dunno why, I dont have any mods or scripts that would interfere with your script...

I dont use the cheats, but use most other, I can write my system info and the detailed list if you need it to fix my game crash :(

too much hassle to split them from DMA,.....but they are pretty easy to write and i have a couple of other commands around jumping and collecting flying wares i've written so i'll think of releasing them as a mini command pack.

can you try to be a tad more specific on where the freeze happens, this will help me track it.

I'll run a few DM's this morning while testing another script but it's been a very long time since i've had an issue with it at my end.
if everything fine i'll upload the pack again to make sure you have everything installed.

the freeze usualy happens when an M1 or M2 comes in fire range, and my ship would start to shoot at it... so it can spawn, but cant be hit

but I will test it a few times more to...

nope, no landed ships, and no owned ships, but I seem to have a problem other than that to, because sometimes it freezes without a big ship to, dunno why its like this, but I hope that the update will fix it for me :)

keep up the good work, and great scripts, will say if there is still a problem with it after update :)


EDIT: seems to work fine now after update :)

And I gained a shipyard, but dunno ho much stuff it needs for 1 ship and dunno how long the building of the ship is... it was a Discoverer shipyard, that uses E-cels and Ice ( how do they make ships from ice? )

EDIT2: and whats needed to get bigger shipyards, like M3 or bigger? :D

can somebody give me a tip plz? I have 3 M2 with MARS installed and still cant defeat the 5-6 M7M thats coming at me, what should I get to kick there ass?

EDIT:

killed them :lol:
had to run for a while to separate them, then a swift attack :D

my M2 is a brutal fighter because of this mod :D
a Tyr with 100m/s speed and 2.0 turn rate :lol:

EDIT2:

found a bug, I start the script, and it takes my Salvage Insurence, but after it when he gives it back, the count is diferent...

I started with 500 insurence, and got bak 3m+ :o

EDIT3:

now I have 7m+ of the insurence, somethings wrong here :D

Hi LV,

Had a question about the sector purchase reward. If I purchase for example Unholy Descent, will the paranid try and rebuild any stations that might get destroyed once I take ownership?

Between using the hub and 2 Tyr's blocking the gate going to the sector West of Unholy Descent (laid one across the gate on both sides, so far only had 1 ship's managed to get past without getting destroyed from ramming the Tyr's) I've managed to create a relatively closed area of space (though there's a pirate station in one, they are well behaved) in the two unknown sectors there. In looking to expand and create something more empire like there's only a handful of sectors that are connected and have only 1 enterance on either side (like the Yaki territory for example).

The sector purchase could potentially allow for much easier expansion and a real empire creation (being able to destroy gates without cheating would be a nice trick).

P.S. Very stupid question but can't seem to find the answer anywhere (RTFM'd, watched the videos) but for the spacesuit races, where are you supposed to land?

I gathered that much, just where on the station? I've landed on the platforms before and lost. Is there a specific goal spot?
