X2 Script Challenge - Seems Simple but not to me!

I installed the MH_advjumper script as I was getting tired of my UT traders always running out of fuel and stuff. When I found this script I figured it would be awesome, not just for my traders but my whole fleet.

So anyways, after installing the script and spending 2m each on my 10 UTs, I found that the Universe Traders and Sector Traders dont use the auto jump command - ie they dont free jump or hyper jump to there stations and continue to use the jumpdrive using energy cells to get to the sector and then move to the station (I have the singularity thing that makes them not need energy cells anymore installed).

I have never scripted, but logic would say a simple edit to the Adv Trader MK3 script would fix this problem. Has anyone else found a way to fix this? Would anybody know a good direction to point me so that I can edit the script and make it use the auto-jump command while Universe trading or sector trading?

have u actually enbled the auto jump command in the ships additional command slot ?

Yes, on all of the ships. The autojump works fine when I tell it to dock at station, move to position, buy wares at best price ect... Even the ATC ships use the new equipment properly.

Its just the Universe Trader and Sector Trader that do not use the freejump and auto jump features.

In Fact, Cycrow - It seems as I need exactly what your plugin for Jump Scripts Replacement script does for your Advanced Jump script for X3,

Only I need to do that for MH_advjumper in X2;)

@baxter5196..I handle my MK3 traders a little different..I install the following cheat pack I found at the Imerial site..

It has Banshee jump in it..I edit all the other cheats out (explained in readme) and just use Banshee jump when my MK3's or other TP's are in trouble or acting stupid..Neat thing about this pack is that there is no need to even open the script editor to use it..It's all in a Piracy slot on the command console of every ship in the game. Edit out everything except the Jump and the E-
cells (they don't actually use them just need the free space available for them) and wala problem solved..Manually anyway.

thats exactly the reason i made it for X3 ;)

however, it wont work with X2, and i dont have X2 installed to be able to convert it.

@Pogi, Ill try that. When you say manually, I wonder if that means that it only works "manually". They will autojump, gateless jump, and energyless jump with the MH_advjumper when I give them a manual command to do go somewhere, its the auto-trader and sector-trader that is somehow bypassing the autojump ect.. features.

Maybe with both scripts installed it will work the way as I am hoping. I dont see any readme file, but I think I can figure out how to just install the banshee jump and energyless jump.

Ill let you know how it works out.

Seems to do the trick! When my transporters are set to Universal Trader, they jump to the center of the target sector without using energy (not really jump to position, but hey).

I simply just added the t folder file and the Banshee jump script with none of the other cheats. For balancing, Ill buy the 2m upgrade for the ships anyways (just so Im not really "cheating"), and I can still do manual jump to position commands when necessary.

Thanks again, this is pretty much what I wanted to happen. No more stopping trading because they "found no jumpdrive fuel" and to cut down travel time.

I assume you're talking about the "2m each on my 10 UTs" (Universe Traders).
