gah! another 3d programme to learn ...... BOTTOM!

the only problem i really have its the fact i cant get my graphics tablet to behave lol

ive looked, and just seen how many polys that the nova is ..... i am used to modelling for Oblivion where you have to trim the polys lol, i am sure after using nifscope to try getting the stuff ingame i should be able to get my head round all this. just waiting for everything to sort itself out with the xfp forums etc
About the name - i was lost for a name on the forum and looking round, then a Bob Hope film came on, and i thought "that will do nicely"

Hm.

I've got the problem with the Terran Thor/Mjollnir not showing up. I d/l:ed a couple of Terran models and tried them out with LV:s cheat scripts to see if there were any problems.

The Terran Hulk / Odin / Valkyrie works fine. The Thor and Mjollnir are invisible and intagible. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling them with no effect.

Any ideas what I've done wrong?

try installing them over the top without unisntalling first and c if that helps, but ill check out the ships c if theres anything wrong with the models

Tried installing over the top -> LV:s cheat to create ... still nothing.

Im trying to get new ships ingame, after pluging away at it, acheive no results i finally get them ingame but they arent there, they are invisible. Looked through the forum but no luck, tryed useing it with Cockpit MOD but that aint working nor in standard game. the Pluginmamager site is down aswell.

Is there a step by step guide to acehiveing victory on this?

Ok well here are my exact problems.

1. Running the ship installer with the MOD i want to use "ITS_ARG_CP_MOD_V1c" Cokpit MOD. Means although the ship picture's appear in the loading screen start-up, there not actully ingame.

2. Running the ship installer on basic, so no other MODS mean the ships will be ingame and i can select them, they be but invisible/no models!! :wink:

So there are my problems. Im sure it could work looking at your web-page cycrow but it seems to be down.

I've updated the mod time and time again but no luck at all!!!!, tried fake patching/standard MOD still nothing! :cry:

Not sure if it helps, but do you have Cycrow's Script pack installed? I know before without those scripts the ships will not show up in the shipyards.

Yes i have it installed not sure, how that an help thoe.

Also now if i load X3 useing the cockpit MOD as a base mod the game crash's :evil:

i have been having trouble with ships to not showing, try the following and see if it helps you:

1) Uninstall the ship(s) that are invisable

2) go to the menus and Update the mod

3) EXIT the ship installed so it finalises the patch

4) reload the ship installed, add ship(s) again as you wanted

5) do steps 2 and 3, then play and see if they work.

Nothing, Im not sure what but anyone else able to play whilst useing the cockpit MOD pack? beacuse it crash's out whatever even if things are installed.

i use the cockpit call back mod as a false patch without any issues, remember when you start your game to make sure the selected mod is the ship installers mod and nothing else (you can only use one main mod) other mods have to be false patches.

How do you set it up to be able to use MOD, in as a Base Mod, with me it keeps crashing.

I freshly re-installed, but now i can have ships appearing in text, ingame and useing cockpit MOD but the ship models arent actully in space. 1 step forward and 1 back i suppose. anyone else encountered this prob?

Some of Tensin ships have been found to be faulty, until there rebuilt and tested working those ships cant be seen in space. Be sure your using a known working ship, list any here your having trouble with by there name so others can tell you if they work for them.

I have the invisible thor model issue too.

First thing i noted is that while the raw data in the thor file is :

ships\terran\terran_D_M3_scene.bod;
for the other working terran ships that first line is :

Code: Select all

ships\terran\terran_D_M5_scene;

ships\terran\terran_D_M2_scene;
See that .bod? It seems to be only in the thor path (the file extension seems to be missing in every working custom ship i use). However, i tried deleting it and leaving the data as it is in the other ships, but that didn't seem to solve the issue in any way. I'll try again carefully uninstalling everything first and the reinstalling my modified version but i doubt it will do the trick. Anyway, maybe this can be of help to someone (there are, maybe, other mispellings in the tship file i didn't find?).
I would really like to make my entire fleet in X3 Terran fashion, but without the main fighter it would be quite lame :P

Edit : and... yep, the primus and batedora, which both have that invisble model issue for me and as i've seen other people, both have the .bod extension in that line, while everything else that's working doesn't. However, manually deleting it had no results for all the three ships.

i have had the invisible ships problem in the past, and in the end to get them all to behave i just put the xsp files into the ship installers data file and after that its seemed to work fine.

I too have had the invisible thor, and maybe one other craft too, but i cannot remember what ....

The current problem i have had is the fact that the ship installer no longer seems to want to work with the DDRS mod, since the last update to ddrs the game crashes if i try adding any ships at all

I would really be happy if you could tell me how you managed to do that. I have the X3 MOD manager but cant seem to get it to work how you have. So help there would be top trumps :)

in the ship installer you shoose what mod you want as a base mod, after i put the basic xsp files in the ship installer data file i left the mod choice at standard then added the ships i wanted, then after thats done i start the game to check out the ships and if they are there (lv`s cheat scripts are perfect for this purpose :D ), after that i then exit game and go back into the ship installer and swap the mod from standard, to whatever mod i want to run, wait for it to merge the afore mentioned mods then go into the game and test again.

but if you have installed ships you have to use the shipinstaller mod option in mods
