I just realised, you need a name for the race.
I have a few ideas:
Made Up
*Zigmorian Council.
*Shinzon Imperial Navy.
*Boldarion Space Fleet.
*Sikorian Navy.
*The Dulnar Federation of Planets.
*Rownar Battle Fleet.
From Games and Films
Tholian Assembly.
Cardassian Union.
United Feeration Of Planets.
Vasudan Alliance..........
What do you think?

I hate to rain on everyone's parade in this thread, but I won't be able to do the necessary work on Killerog's ships. I just have too much to do in real life, such as class work, a new job, and more. I apologive for taking this long to let you all know. Hopefully, you'll find someone who can take my place.
Cheers.
Cheers.

You do realise that the last post in this thread was well over a year ago? That's a bump of epic proportions.
But anyway, creating brand new ships isn't as simple as just downloading a "ship builder" program. This guy used gmax, which you can download for free from http://www.turbosquid.com/gmax , but it's not supported any more, so if you're having problems it could be hard to get help. 3D studio max is the mainstay now, but it's a pro application, so it's quite expensive.
No matter what program you use, you need to know what you're doing, so you have to learn how to use the program first, which will take time. Even then, those programs only create the model, which is like the skeleton of the ship. You then have to create textures, and all sorts of other stuff to actually turn it into a ship. I've no idea exactly what else is involved, but it's certainly not as straightforward as you seem to think.
If you still want to try though, good luck. I'm sure your experimentation will be fun, even if it takes a while to get onto it.

The threads aren't all really old, you must just not be looking at the first page or something.
And gmax/3Dstudio max doesn't work anything like CyCrow's ship manager, although you'll need to use the ship manager to set the attributes for the ship after you've got the whole model finished.
I really don't know much about modelling though, so I suggest you should get in touch with someone who does for tips

You actually don't need to use the ship installer at all - only really useful if you are looking to eventually install via the Ship Manager. Otherwise can all be done via the ship's scene file and the TShips.txt file.
Looking at the date, am wondering if Killerog simply gave up because no-one would do the hard work for him?!? May be wrong on that point, but if so, I really don't know why he didn't just learn how to do it for himself

The dreadnought was the predominant type of 20th-century battleship. The British battleship HMS Dreadnought had such an impact when launched in 1906 that battleships built after her were referred to as 'dreadnoughts', and earlier battleships became known as pre-dreadnoughts. Her design had two revolutionary features; an 'all-big-gun' armament scheme and steam turbine propulsion.scouser3008 wrote: BTW ur m5 looks a bit like the jedi starfighter from the top, and also how is AFCS DREADNOUGHT coming along if thats the name you've decided on?
Keep up the good work
