Hahaha I would not go that far Tritous...

I did try last night, now I am part of the guild again and scanned a ship that I was about to vapourize.... it did not go red though... so I lost my standings with the Goner TWICE now.... But still gained some well rounded payouts.

Will keep bountys on Goner ships only I think, cant afford to loose credability with any other race.

yeah

Post by Tritous »

but chances are that goner ship didnt have illegal cargo (although I'm sure that the Goner movement is just a front) so it wouldnt work, and if you didn't have a license to use the scanner you'd lose standing there too.

Still, in principle it's a fabulous idea. Do you think it would work cyrow? I know there is only meant to be a 50% chance that scanning someone with illegal freight makes them go red, but it should sort out the notoriety thing partly

Depends if your implying that all bounty ships will always be dealing with illegal goods.

So do you imply that the bounty on thoughs that are WANTED will always be classed as Pirates/Yaki ???

Not that it really matters, but for conversation sakes, If we pick political flys here I can not personally can see how this would be true... some steal plans…….some just get on the nerves of others.... so they may well be upstanding citizens normally... Ha!

Oh I don’t know….. either way they are going down !!!! :)

well one new illegal ware called "stolen documents" could be relatively generic. otherwise I'm not sure what else there is, but perhaps illegal softwares on some (survailance stuff used to get the info with) hacking softwares (stealing info) and I'm not sure, are "hand weapons" illegal goods?

Not that they need to ALL have some way of getting them caught, but if there was an 8/10 chance that your target has an illegal good, wouldn't you go scan that argon harrier to try and get them busted? better then you getting busted by a buster.

i read a message on the bbs about a job offer for the bountyhunters guild. it said that some guy is in 'unknown sector' and i'm supposed to waste him.

so how am i supposed to know in which one of the unknown sectors he is in?

heard about the 1.31 beta patch too. it's not ready yet, but from what i gather, they're fixing a lot of content problems like yaki not talking and similar. that's nice. can't wait when they add comm menu scriptability...

How about adding the coordinates of the sector to the name? I know LV's Arena Deathmatch does this, so it should work somehow.

Cycrow:

I noticed on the Merc Guild you changed the color of the other Merc ships to dark Blue, very nice tuch and easy to spot the other Merc's--I was wondering it you could change the color of the Bounty's Ship to an easer color to spot, trying to find a bounty in an unfrendly sector with 2-3 pages of Red ships can be hard. I tend to run into stations and other stuff while I am looking for the bad guy, Yep the Bounty Is in the Light Blue Section. I tend not to join the Bounty Hunters because the search can be very tedious and the pay-out does not equal the investment in time to search up to 5 sectors for the bounty, of corse the search is the fun.

I love your Scripts

i was thinking of adding an upgrade or something, that will allow you to track bounties, you will be able to get the exact sector there in, as well as highlight them on the list

not sure exactly how im going to do this yet, most likly just an option on the bbs to buy the tracking information for the bounty

Do you think upgrading the scanner when you join the guild with some type of tracking software? Or when you accept the mission the tracking for only that target?? Other than recoloring all bountys at once, (too much like a cheat), it seems there will be many nights programing trying to figure this one out.

I would think working on this many scripts at once you would start on one idea for one guild and end up with something really great for another guild while missing the entire origional idea. That is what I really like about scripting, one thing leades to another and before you know it you have so many irons in the fire you can not help but burn yourself

well, i like to work on several things at once, i find for me, i actaully get it done quicker, and come up with more ideas in thep rocess :)

well, how i was planning on doing it was, when you c the advert on the bbs, there will be an option to perchase tracking date, when purchased, it will change the colour of the bounty ship so u can find it easier

and it will also give you access to a command that allows to find the current sector of ur tracked target

althou im thinking i might add a charge on this each time you use it
