a different setting in facs 4 importers and exporters, i like my weapon facs to use m4's/5's to export and go about 10 sectors out, to avoid flooding the markets, but if i set the range to 10 sometimes my stupid frieghters will go out to 10 sectors just to buy Ore despite the fact i have a mine in the same sector, i know they're looking 4 the best price, but if i set my selling price to 50 i lose money, i'd also like a setting so that they will only buy from ur facs, my frieghters in eg herrons nebula will sometimes ignore my shiny SPP in argon prime fully stocked with EC's and go an extra jump to the wall instead

I doubt that Ego is looking into this... however let me leave few points that were not addressed in previous patches...
- GATES
Better jump sequence... not only not a black screen but also:
1) Ships following/proteting often bump with each other after the jump. This happens due to player ship low speed after the jump.
2) Incoming traffic; there are no regulation regarding incoming traffic on both ways. Often TS, M6, capital ships get destroyed (badly damaged) on the way to the gate or after jump
- RACE rankings
The ranking to allow players to buy capital ships is too high. This force players to use scripts to change and stop this ranking nosence.
To reach such leavels on each race would take a player to spend months to get there in just one race. This needs attention.
- SETA to restore shields/stop firing
This is still an outstanding bug, where in some cases setting SETA would make AI stoping firing and raise shields.
- BETTER AI for wingman/followers/protector ships
1) Please could you make them more inteligent, or go back to 1.2 where they seem to avoid bumping into each other, stations and gates.
2) AI defending player ship will miss hiting an Asteroid that is in front of them and less than 500m from them. Sorry for the comment... but they hit almost nothing in comparison to pirates, Xenon and Khaak.
Player own AI need a bit more love regarding their aim on their targets.
- LASERTOWERS
Well, could you make them useful for something such as stations/gates defense...
At moment not only they don't have appropriate shields, track but also the do NO damage to a "fly" that is stopped 1 meter from them.
A simple small ship can take severa llasertower in no time and sufer no damage on their shields (Xenon N as good example).
If lasertowers don't need your love, then please remove them from the game because are useless and to save some RAM.
- CAPITAL SHIPS ENERGY FOR WEAPONS
Please could you make them usefull... 10 seconds since opening fire and then just one single weapon is able to continue firing? (It must be a joke!) ... ships without energy to fire?
Please could you install some powercells/nuclear reactor/Ion reactor to feed a few more energy into those weapons...
Well I probably have few other items, or faults on some features to add but I can't remember some of my posts...

- 1 Carrier + 60 Novas against 4 pirates
That is equal to: 20 to 30 minutes fireworks in absurd LAG
Not only player own AI ships missed to aim to the targets and fly around the target like crazy... but LAG is simply absurd. (2 to 10 seconds for a screen refresh).

- Does AUTOPILOT has any AI?????
Can't it negotiate the best path such as go around stations instead of constant "ZigZag" for hours?
Constant changing direction every 2m to 100m of path then another 180 degrees change of direction.
Could you implement some AI on it? (Like X2 has)
Shouldn't be difficult to copy or re-utilize some code used on X2 for that effect.

This is personally my absolute 100% favourite: Hotkeys working when docked and in menus, like the optionwindow says...
The Goner standing bug would be great. It does not go up from buying insurance, killing pirates in the sector CBSW, hailing Goners or anything else I've tried.
Nova turret would of course be welcome to fix.
Fix the lasertowers so the shield can be upgraded to 125.
M6 ships NEED some love. Give them more turrets, make the turrets double, increase maneouverability, double their shield recharge or something, anything...
Integrate the very excellent station manager script by Naffarin in the game from start. It really is a part of the game that should be there from the start. This game got 200% more fun for me when I didn't have to micro manage anymore. Add some option for what sell/buy fraction you want though as most people don't know how to change that in scripts.
The PBE weapons cost too much (and take too long to produce in a factory) considering they are an anti shield weapon only. Either make it so they work against hull too, or make them cheaper.
Other than that, I'm having good fun playing, danke schön!

I think 1.4 should be more a "Fix Patch" then "Add patch" Egosoft we have more then enoght in X3 as it is (for now
) dont add but fix

I think it makes more sense for egosoft to fix anything in the game thats not working as it should, eg - problems with slow down when using mass drivers, psg's etc, the problem i have with slow down in sectors with loads of asteroids, and any other problems before they start adding more stuff to the game, once it runs as it should for every one then dop a bonus pack, like with x2, one that adds all the extra stuff people want, well some of it, from what ive seen if you did a bonus pack with all the stuff people want, then it would be more like an expansion pack, i think they should just fix the game with patch 1.4 and then see about the bonus stuff, if you start putting a shed load of extras into patch 1.4 you might end up with more problems than it fixed.

Yes I agree with Spare-Flare & Acrh2.
Whilst you are at it an option to remove some of the excesses of 1.3 would be nice. Like an option to tone down some of the excessive emphasis on combat and a bit more on the Trade, Build and particularly Think. Also I would like to remove the dratted mini asteroids, I didn't have too much of a lag problem before but I sure as heck do now and I have lost far too many ships through close contact with them.
I would like to see an option in any future patch along the lines of an "Express" and Custom" install. Those that then wanted to install all the patch feature could just check the "Express" box, whilst those who may not want certain features could check the "Custom" box and chose what they want to install. The only problem with that is that we would probably end up with something that noone could object to.

Have to agree with Lidza above about AI navigation effectiveness.
As my trade empire grows, I'm seeing more and more frequently messages in my log like this:
Your ship [freighter] was killed in [sector] by South Gate.
Your ship [freighter] was killed in [sector] by Station.
Not only is this just not acceptable, but in some cases it even reduces notoriety with the Races' sector.....I find that rather offensive since I'm not directly in control of the situation.
As my trade empire grows, I'm seeing more and more frequently messages in my log like this:

Another request, I want the "Change ship" button moved from personal to station submenu. EVERY time I change ships and such is generally after or before I checked what ships are docked, or before or after I transferred freight between ships so it just takes longer to go to personal. The "Ships" and "Change ship" should be in the same submenu.

I agree with the fact that the M6's need some attention..... they used to be very effective fro their class (between fighters and capital ships)..... Not any more!!!!
Also agree with more ships..... ie different ships in the same class per race.
The abiltiy to play the game (including fighting) from a third person perspective.... like playing the game while looking at my ship!!!

I guess you could get something similar if you had the Xenon convoys but you replace the P with a transport? Maybe they are transporting valuable microchips, warheads or guns they salvaged from blown up ships? Khaak could be doing it too. I played EvE online for over a year and that game has a much more immersive feel even though you're looking at your ship from the outside. The smoothness of the camera control using the mouse was good too since it's very chunky using the numpad like we do.
