The original competition has run its course and we have a single winner in steelberg. Please join us in congratulating him.

This means we still have one ticket left to be won, so we have extended the competition until 21/04/2011 at 12:00 Central European Summer Time.

We would like to clear up the following points for today's extension.
  • The competition is extended until 21/04/2011 at 12:00 Central European Summer Time.
  • Answer as best as you can. You may not need 5 out of 5 correct answers to get lucky.
  • The X-Encyclopedia is currently available for all registered users to download. This may help with some of the questions. This may be a time limited offer.

Greetings everyone,

We at EGOSOFT, along with Koch Media are happy to announce a competition to win tickets to the 2011 FedCon in Dusseldorf. FedCon 2011 will feature EGOSOFT and our project, currently known as TNBT. What's more, FedCon boasts a great lineup of guests and features that many of you Sci-Fi buffs will hate to miss!

Two people have the chance to win a single Weekend ticket each. The Weekend ticket gives you access to FedCon over the whole four days, Thursday to Sunday.

The tickets will be available to pick up at the reception of FedCon. They will not be delivered.

Entry Conditions
  • Only one entry per forum user. Forum users registered after the competition has started will not be eligible.
  • The entry must be sent from the email address used by your forum account.
  • Please only enter the competition if you can make it to FedCon. If not, you will be robbing others of the chance. You are responsible for arranging your own transport and any accommodation.
Questions
These will test your knowledge of X to the full!

1. In which three X-Games does the Argon Elite appear?

2. What is the Solar Output percentage in sector Akeela's Beacon? (based on X3: Terran Conflict 3.1)

3. In what Earth year was the "tomb of the Sleeping Pontifex" constructed?

4. What is the Max Laser Energy of the Boron Angel? (based on X3: Terran Conflict 3.1)

5. What was the name of Nathan R. Gunne's flagship?


How to Enter
Send an E-Mail with the answers to fedcon@egosoft.com. The entry must be sent from the email address used by your forum account.

Please provide us with your full name as you will need to provide identification to pick up the ticket.

The competition will end on 20/04/2011 at 12:00 Central European Summer Time.

We will announce the winners by the 21st of April.

Ok, this is a mistake. How do you want to get new fans for the game by asking such difficult questions?
I really would like to go to Fedcon to see the game and I would have become a new fan of egosoft and the game. But these questions are just nonsense for guys like me who are new here...

Some of these are tricky, sure. But nothing you can't learn by doing some digging around. Take a look at some of the guides in the stickies, download and read the X-Encyclopedia.

Just give it your best shot, maybe no-one will get 5/5.

Those are really not tough questions, except may be the question about the Pontifex tomb. I don't have a Superbox license to download the Encyclopedia (to answer the Pontifex question), nor do I want to rob someone's chance because I can't physically be there :-(

Where can we download the X Encyclopaedia from? I thought that was for Superbox owners only...
