hello people..

i am very happy to announce a full conversion of Homeworld 2 ships for X3 Terran Conflict..

the first ships i had in this mod where not very well done, not bad for first efforts, but still.. they have been removed for now and will make their return in future versions of the mod..

at the moment most Hiigaran ships are finished, some are still being worked on..

to spawn them ingame you still have to cheat them in.. im working on a script to add them to shipyards but its not done yet..

i wanted to wait with the release if i had more ships finished, but i had a problem with the dummies.txt file wich prevented me from making progress with the mod.. so i decited to release what i had at the time..

-Carrier (Completed)
-Destroyer (Completed, with custom made turrets)

KNOWN ISSUES:

-the Hiigaran Destroyer's bottom turret is not at the correct position *Fixed in next release*

-currently, you will have to cheat the ships in.. working on a script to get them buyable from shipyards.. *Implemented in next release*

-the ships need more balancing..

-the gunship's top and bottom turrets can fire through the hull..

-the hull defence turrets from the Hiigaran Carrier (made by Killjaeden) dont work, they can fire but they dont move.. i cant seem to add anymore custom made turrets to the dummies.txt file for some reason.. pls read third post in this topic for more info.. all help with this is welcome.. *fixed in next release, thanks to urbanfreak*

-the bottom turret of the Hiigaran Destroyer is pointing sideways, should be pointing to the front.. *fixed in next release*

-forgot to add several docking dummies to the ships.. *fixed in next release*

something oddly satisfying watching it get owned by flak in super hi res...

also: when you get around to the hiigaran flak frigate, dont balance it around the CFA's AoE, as the AoE doesnt work properly. ;)

I'd like to see some of the up to date Taiidan ships in this. There were a lot of HW2 models for many of the ships. I might look into those again by visiting the old modding site again, be nice to play HW2 again even though it's an older game now, but my disc is scratched to hell :(

i have completed the second ship, its the Vagyr Heavy Missile Frigate..

it was ment to be a excercise in placing cameradummies, turrets and other weapons.. it turned out to be a bit overpowered tho.. *cough*

the link in the first post has been updated, download and enjoy.. :)

feedback and ideas are always appreciated..

Never would have thought it, but those ships actually wouldn't look out of place in the X universe. Sort of a Split-Argon-Terran hybrid, possibly.

if you mean you want to be able to build ships on your carrier, that might be a problem.. im not a scripter and i think this involves quite a lot of scripting..

on the other hand, might as well start on the carrier.. it might not be able to build any ships but i will try to make up for that by giving it a M7 docking spot.. ;) (ill need to figure out how to do that first tho.. )

Ah, the heavy missile frigate! I love that ship probably more than is normal...

You're doing a great job so far, Anubitus! I wouldn't actually recommend putting an M7 port on the carrier - the original carrier couldn't dock ships that large, though admittedly that's partially because HW frigates were really more the size of a large M6 like the Hyperion to me. But the ability to launch M6s and M8s would be nice.

I can't wait until you do the Vagyr flagship, that's a sexy ship if ever there was one. Keep up the good work!

the third ship is ready.. a terran gunship this time, and a heavely armed one..
the turrets where a pain in the butt to create, and while still not perfect, they are ready to be tested..

so pls download, test it and give me feedback..

and more important, enjoy..! :D

Great ships. I'm very nostalgic about HW2 atm! :D

Don't worry about balancing yet, that (should be?) less painstaking than importing ships.

Looking forward for more.
