(Solved) Modified game w/v2.6 + Bonus Pack

I uninstalled my previous X3TC install and manually deleted all folders, then installed X3TC v2.5 from disc, upgraded to v2.6, installed the bonus pack solely (no other scripts/mods), and started a new game as Terra Defender.

My Pilot Status says *modified* at the bottom.

I run VIPRE® Antivirus Premium AV & FW.
X3TC Gold edition (not Steam)
Win7 64 bit

Which patch did you use? I seem to remember some issues with the 2.5 disk version not actually being completely 2.5 (although I could be wrong).

@ Carlo: I think you are recalling the early UK Gold version that said it provided TC 2.1 but that then proved incomplete if you used the 2.1-2.5 patch. In fact you had to use the 2.0-2.5 patch to get it working at 2.5. See here: http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=273533

A simple case of user error.

On my previous game prior to reinstall, I had used Cycrow’s Plugin Manager (awesome tool) to load various scripts, and though I had removed all scripts and folders, they were still checked in the Plugin Manager. Just had to switch back to Vanilla in Plugin Manager, and problem solved.
