Updating the game [TC]

Hey, it's me again, with another question.

So, I recently updated TC to 2.5 from the 2.1 patch, but my saved game still says: Version 2.0

Any ideas about this? It's the X3 gold edition with TC 2.1.

Just registered, recently updated the game to 2.5 and when I run TC on the menu where it says: Start X3:TC it says 2.5 up the top, but when I start it, it says 2.0 down the bottom.

Do you have any ideas? Should I reinstall it?

Fixed, reinstalled X3TC and downloaded the 2.0a -> 2.1, then 2.5 patch.

It is as if the X Gold DVDs say they are 2.1 X3TC but are actually 2.0x.

Thats really annoying, because when I first installed it I checked for updates because the 2.5 patch had come out about a year ago

and I wanted to update it. So the only compatible patch that came up was the 2.5 one, even though my game was 2.0a. So THEN I had to reinstall TC, download the 2.0a to 2.1, then so on.

rrrrrrrr....
