TC Player Profile shows modified?

I'd just like to ask if I'm an idiot/point out a possible bug.
The player profile in the game that I just started has the ***Modified*** tag, despite the fact that I've obviously not added any scripts or mods to the game.

I got my copy off Steam, so I'm thinking it may be a bug related to how Steam packages the game?

It's not really a huge deal, but it would make a difference to those of us who plan on playing an unmodified game.

Try running the verify option. If I'm right then this should cause a few files to be updated, in which case starting a new game may well clear the modified tag.

I'm assuming you're talking about the Verify option in STEAM? If so, that didn't help me.

Custom games are always modified.

Well there you go then. As with all games in the series, using a Custom gamestart gives you a modified tag.

I am playing a standard new Terran game, and mine shows modified too. The only thing custom is my keyboard layout.

Once again, try running the Steam verify option to make sure your game is properly updated to 1.2. If it's half-and-half as it was very briefly when the game first unlocked then you may see the modified tag. Obviously you will have to start a new game if you have the modified tag and want to get rid of it. If you are running a Custom gamestart then you will have a modified tag regardless.
