With the scheduled release date of X3: Terran Conflict getting closer, Egosoft and the European publisher Deep Silver have today released a promotional video covering one of the four facets of the game - BUILD.

The video shows some new stations and ships as well as a brief look at the new, improved interface and menu system. In the voice-over it also mentions more about some of the other upcoming content such as new ship classes.

You can currently view and download the video at the Deep Silver website, but of course Egosoft is already preparing downloads from their own servers as well, from where you will be able to choose your preferred video format and size.

As soon as they are up, we will update this news.

Enjoy the show!

UPDATE 08/01/2008: As promised the video is now available for download from the Egosoft servers. There are low and high quality versions available, both encoded using "xvid(AVI)"-format.

Previous X3: Terran Conflict news threads:

Update (8th August) - German website PC Games now has a new video available (but only in German). Thanks to Unknown for pointing it out!

Widescreen trailer implies widescreen game. Should fit my 23" Cinema Display just perfect. Cool! Very Happy

Also seems as though the pirates have gotten their hands on at least one Argon Centaur, from the looks of it. Lots of other new, drool ships, too. Very Happy

However, one little quibble. I saw a lot ships flying around shooting other ships and stations. But I didn't see any building going on. No sector maps, no station interfaces. A very brief glimpse of a ship's command console. I thought this was the 'Build' trailer. Confused

At 2:13, did anyone else notice the complex that looks kinda like from X2: The Return?
Just to compare

So did I.

But we saw the familiar complex connection tubes at one point. And the voice spoke about "self-sustaining" complexes. A web of inferior profitsss still with uss? Teladi

Hmm, I wonder if they've left the complex/CCK system as-is, or added some functionality to make neat complexes easier for new players (or non-fanatics, anyway Razz).

That "wings" menu gives me a LOT of hope. Very Happy Very Happy I was just about to throw something very similar to the devnet. Hooray for Egosoft!

Otherwise... lots of new and sexy looking ships as usual. Lots of very different looking stations, too. I wonder what they're all about.

I'm gonna have to take a closer look at this one later (when I'm not actually supposed to be busy unpacking boxes... Rolling Eyes)
