NEWS: X³: Terran Conflict announced
Computer games developer Egosoft and Koch Media, a leading distributor of games and application software, today announced the conclusion of an exclusive publishing and distribution agreement for the title X³: Terran Conflict. X³: Terran Conflict will be released under the Deep Silver label.
"The X series has always been one of our top quality brands, and an integral part of the Deep Silver portfolio," states Dr. Klemens Kundratitz, Managing Director of Koch Media. "So we are very happy to be presenting the gripping next installment of the X universe's story in X³: Terran Conflict."
"We look forward to adding another successful chapter to the X story, together with Koch Media," says Bernd Lehahn, Managing Director of Egosoft.
X³: Terran Conflict is a brand new, stand-alone game set in the universe of X³. It is the culmination of the X trilogy, with a grand finale that takes us all the way back to Earth's own solar system. Gamers can take on the roles of different characters in the X universe, or of a Terran military pilot, and experience a multitude of stories in the largest X universe ever featured – for X³: Terran Conflict will offer more missions than any other X game before. Meanwhile, X³: Terran Conflict will pose questions such as: How has Earth changed in all these years? And how will relations between Earth and its counterparts in the X universe develop?
X³: Terran Conflict is scheduled for release in the third quarter of 2008.

VURT The only Feathers to Fly With......
Probably because its a continuation of the X3 story....X2-Eliah wrote:If it is a stand-alone game (as such, should not require an X3 installation, unlike Half-Life2 and Orange box), why is it called "X3"?
Or is it a total-conversion expansion?
and possibly using an enhanced version of the X3 engine. (or exactly the same)
they have had almost 1000 years to terraform Aldrin, why are they all still sitting around a giant rock?

X:BtF: 7/10 | X2: 8/10 | X3:R/TC/AP: 8/10 | X:R: 3/10 | X4: 0/10 (3 points for split ships and stations, 4.0 -> -50 points).
If you are raising pirate activity, give me meaningful ways to deal with them PERMANENTLY. Better things to do than replacing ships every 10 minutes, or babysitting ships getting harassed.
Stopped playing X4 with 4.0 due to outrageous, needless and pointless nerfs to everything. Don't change what wasn't broken in the first place.

According to the news, it seems to be "just" X³ with a bunch of MD-made missions.

Bah. Nuclear waste again. Also you people are withdrawing me from my off-topic hole. Stop it.Samuel Creshal wrote:*slaps Titan with nuclear waste*Titanx3 wrote:Oh, I am gonna bring up the dreaded question. Multiplayer? Pretty please

Anyway, I never got into X3 much, seemed odd. I would like to see some adjustments other then just "x3 with shiny missions", a good modder can do that.
woohoo!!!!!
This makes me sooo happy!!
I do have a quick question. On the home page it states, "X³: Terran Conflict is a brand new, stand-alone game set in the universe of X³."
Does this mean we won't carry on with our current empire? I'm okay with that too! I'm just so darn Excited!!! w00 h00!
Yay Egosoft!!!

End of all the X4 threads then.
But one question remains: how did that one game shop know the name terran conflict? it's been months now since somebody spotted that name on their web page and wrote about it in a thread.
