It is possible to change the timings of the RE?

Or add additional station commands to have an improved RE say reduced RE/build times for 2x/3x/4x/5x the resources?

Not by scripting, though it should be possible by modding. You can, of course, mimic the build process of the HQ in a script, and get it to use different resources/time, but it would use a command from the command menu - you couldn't tie it to the current interface. RE is not possible to script, at least afaik.

Is there a way to influence the timing of an RE/Build ship via scripting? I don't mean change the time from 4 hrs to 1, but making a 4 hr job in progress jump ahead 30mins without SETA.

If it's possible, then a pouring in of additional resources and credits (presumably by hiring more staff and buying more assembly nanobots) could accelerate the RE/Build.

No - that's what I mean. Afaik, there is no way to manipulate the build/RE process at all via scripts.

Actually there are two questions, the first was changing the RE/build times. The 2nd was influencing the RE/build times. :)

the times for building and RE are directly related to the price of the ship. If you want to lower the time, u'll have to decrease the price of the ship.

more precisly, its the "Reval" that determines the time

That should be RelVal yes? Hmm I wonder if it's possible to modify the RelVal on the fly...

RelVal is in the cat. You won't be able to access it via script, just like accessing any other cat via script. You can't change shield types, cago type, add cargo space, change laser/shield gens with a script, you can't change RelVal with a script.

I was half expecting u to pour cold water on my request :D

Too bad I guess; perhaps the only way is to add station commands to duplicate the RE/build mechanisms. Takes alot of the coolness out of it tho...

It's not cold water, that's just the way it is. It'd be nice if it was possible to make such changes. It's open up a whole new aspect of things. :)
