I downloaded V4.04 last night and downloaded the latest beta for the plugin manager.
**We're at Beta11 right now. I started out at 7 last night. wow.
When I tried the "Update" function it told me there was no update for SCS.
Now I updated manually, and it says "Newer version already installed: V4.02 - 23/7/2011"
Is this because V4.04 is a RC?

Hi Zero Tolerance,
Looks like I'm going to have to update my webpage again, the Plugin Manager was only up to beta 10 when I updated it last night!
I've not configured the SCS scripts to use the Plugin Manager's Update feature, so I can't really comment on what that might do or say.
The latest version is V4.04 (regardless of what the PM says) but there may be a V4.05 soon if there are any conflicts with the new AP add-on.
Thanks for pointing that out though, I'll see if I can get some info. on how the update feature works and support it in future releases.
UPDATE:
Thanks to Zero Tolerance for identifying the error with Cycrow's Plugin Manager, apparently, it does not recognise the 'RC1' of '4.04 RC1' and ignores the numbers so it didn't realise there was a later version.
The next version of my scripts will be 4.05 and I'll release that once I have AP and tested it. If nothing else, it will have an updated version number so that the Plugin Manager will recognise the updated version number.
Additional thanks to Cycrow for providing onformation on the Automatic Update feature...

Hiya,
I think something changed - I got an updated Manager - Beta12.
And I got the message that there is an update to the SCS.
It did upgrade 4.04RC1 to 4.04RC1....
UPDATE: it keeps telling me there's an update to the SCS software, should I talk to Cycrow?

Hi Cycrow,
Actually, I dropped the 'RC1' for the .DAT file the Plugin Manager uses for checking the version as it didn't seem to recognise it, but the .SPK still has 'RC1' in it, so I assume it's thinking they're still different versions.
V4.05 will be released soon just to update the scripts to the new script engine version for AP so the version numbers should all be in sync then.

Okay, Version 4.05 is available for download from here or by updating through Cycrow's Plugin Manager. The manual is also available from the webpage here.
This version has a few minor fixes and the scripts have been updated to the Albion Prelude script engine (but are still compatible with Terran Conflict).

Removed requirement of SCS Software to ‘View Inventory’ (if inventory present or docked at ship with Inventory).
Removed requirement of SCS Software to ‘Equip From Inventory’ (if inventory present or docked at ship with Inventory).
Fixed Wrong Colour Bracket in Menu Text.

Here it is:
[ external image ]
I press Esc/Enter/click on the x but it won't go away
Basically I just wanted the remote claim component. No matter how often I disabled the other options and saved (clicked ok at the bottom?), when loading a savegame the script was activated again and spoilering locations of derelict ships and such.

Hi boxleitnerb,
That is the menu for the Mobile Pirate Warehouse (MPW), that must still be active to some extent...
I will write you a quick little script that will delete the MPW from your game and post it here shortly.
Sorry about that!
If you have already 'found' the MPW and have some cheat scripts installed, you can just delete it yourself though.
EDIT:
Have PM'd you a link to the delete script...

So I'm playing Albion Prelude and everything is working great but I just loaded a save game and now all of a sudden the hotkey is broken for both SCS and the Community Plugin Configuration. I checked the controls and lo and behold the option to assign a hotkey for SCS is altogether gone. What would make this happen?

Hi lasserith,
For two scripts to be affected it sounds like the game might have screwed something up.
Most (if not all) scripts keep a note of whether or not they have added their option to the list of controls and only allow themselves to be added once (so you don't get multiple entries in the controls list).
I suspect the game may have 'deleted' some of the controls, but the scripts still believe they are (or at least *should be*) listed.
If you can't (or don't want to) go back to an earlier save, I'll write you a little script to reset the SCS flag that tells the script it has been added to the controls list, that should make it re-add itself.
