Is the English version new English or old English? I need to know now whether to expect "Good morning" or "Mornin' guv'ner"

A Spanish translation is underway but may not be available immediately at release. As far as I know we do not plan to make Spanish voice recordings.

As I think I've mentioned before, we start with the English version. Translations into most languages are handled by DevNet, by teams of dedicated people who are keen to see the game translated into their own languages. The Russian translation is the only one currently not being done this way, and is being handled by the publisher.

The voice studio we use provides English and German recordings, and I believe has done French for us in the past too. Again, the Russian version is in the hands of the publisher.

Not quite what you had in mind, but we tend to use UK English for spelling, simply because most of the native English speakers working on the text are from the UK, but our voice actors' accents are a bit of a mixture. I've not heard a Dick Van Dyke cockney yet, though, nor an Australian for that matter.

French in the past? The Steam store page specifies full audio is available in French for Rebirth.

French audio is indeed planned, but probably not for the initial release on the 15th. I don't know whether the same studio will be providing it though, which if you read what I actually said, was the context of that comment.

Maybe you should then modify the Steam page to reflect this information?*

Because in some countries (Russia including) if there will be no French (or any other stated translation/feature) it would be considered as intended advertisement misinformation which is prohibited by law.

*Preferably not use small text under the star in the end of very long description. People tend not to read it and misinterpret Steam info as promised-at-release. Unless this is intended.

Any plans for Czech language?
All previous X games except for Albion Prelude had czech translation.

It´s quite needed, not for me, but for my father, who really loves the X series, but he doesnt understand english language...

I don't have any information on that I'm afraid. If there were native Czech-speakers who would like to translate it then I'm sure DevNet would be more than happy to accommodate them and it would pretty much depend only on them completing it, otherwise the decision would be at the mercy of the publishers, depending on whether they felt there was sufficient demand for a Czech boxed version.

It seems, for now at least, that you have sold out of the English version of the Collector's Edition, but still have copies of the German version?

Is there any hope of an additional run of the physical English Collector's Edition?

For now, I guess I'll have to go down the digital route (which, I guess, has most things), but I do love the physical bits you get with a Collector's Edition - in this case, the playing cards and everything?

For that matter, is there a post detailing exactly what we physically miss out on with the digital version?

Hmm, looks like Amazon.co.uk have the English Collector's Edition available for pre-order, so maybe that is the route to go - though I'd rather have paid to Egosoft's shop directly).

Oh well, I'll still buy Farnham's Legend from Egosoft's shop, I guess - last time I tried to get that via Amazon, I got sent the German version (which is totally useless for me)

Our first batch of the English Collector's Edition for X Rebirth has sold out, however we were able to secure an exclusive second production batch. So you can once again order the English Collector's Edition in our online shop. Unfortunately the logistics of producing an extra batch mean that we may not be able to ship orders placed after November 6th until the end of the month! If you ordered on or before that date, don't worry, you will get a box from the first batch and we will dispatch your order as soon as we get the delivery.

As I think I've said a few times now, they have not arrived in the office yet, making it impossible for them to have been shipped to customers. We don't have any definitive information about when they will arrive, so speculating about when you will receive them would be foolish. As I've also said, when we do have solid information, I'll do my best to let you know. Asking daily is not going to make it happen any faster.
