Yes, we are still on target for release this year, and hopefully Tri Synergy will be involved in helping us tell people more about it when the time comes. :)

Because last year they said that their target was 2012 and we saw how that ended. It's just a target, they might miss the bullseye.
I'm naturally unfriendly sometimes. Don't take what I say too badly.

Does the US publisher have the same rights as DS for promoting games or is it firmly still up to DS only for now and the US one being more of a silent publisher so to speak?

This year still has quite a lot of days left in it. Try to imagine the scene on the forum if a release date were stated and it turned out to be wrong, even by just a couple of weeks and even if it were clearly stated that it was an estimate. We'd have Cowski claiming that this was conclusive proof that the game was vapourware, and BarrenEarth gloating that he'd been right all along, not to mention the people accusing us of being liars and causing them to book their annual leave at the wrong time. ;)

As for the screenshots and videos, the same reasons apply as before. We will continue to provide what we can in the form of making-of type material until such time as the publishers are ready to start a campaign in the run-up to release. Contrary to some people's claims, this does not have to be several months in advance.

 Depends what you want to do... or what kind of campaign you do, yes.

But i prefer a campaign which grow up slowly the pression than a massive attack campaign

And i prefer the exact opposite, i'm currently following way to many games still in development. And to be honest, i wish i never heard of X: Rebirth.
The reason for this is that i find myself spending countless minutes scrounging the internet for any news regarding this game now.

I much prefer getting a game shoved in my face all of a sudden with amazing videos and screenshots, only to realize that, "HEY! This was released yesterday! Hooray!" :P

But, people are different of course. :)

At any rate, I (Thread starter) have received the answers i were looking for, and considering they are probably evacuating the locales of E3 at the moment i think this topic has reached the end of its usefulness.

Thanks for all answers. :) Requesting lock.

Maybe tomorrow we will close this topic off after more players have had a chance to see what CBJ has said on this page and perhaps comment.

DeepSilver publishes many many games, a game that is not Gold, means very little to them in terms of promotion and marketing, imagine a game with a release date "expected in 2013" how high in their list is going to be?

The will brief their staff in places like E3, only with the games they are promoting at this moment, that way, staff is fully focused on the games at hand, that is the product that they are selling now.
