Haven't seen CBJ or any of the other Devs post here in a pretty long time... I think they are avoiding this thread

I see another person put up a post on deepsilver,s forums asking about the release date and still they refuse to give any info.Shame on you deepsilver.Getting totally P off that still we have no release date

I'm still here, and I'll post when there's something new to say. Nothing has changed, however, so we are still looking at a 2013 release.

That is going to be the shortest Beta and subsequent marketing campaign in history

OK, maybe not in history, but 5 months to test and market a relatively big game?!

Done properly, a beta test shouldn't last very long--the game should be feature complete at that point, so you're just finding and fixing bugs. As for marketing, you do that in the month or two leading up to the game's release--unless you're talking an absolutely massive title, you want to concentrate your marketing efforts at the time they'll do the most good, not dilute the effect by spreading it out too far.

Oh I hope it is... I think it likely we will get more information now, a bigger presentation at GDC and then a release around September maybe. Of course, this is all WAG: wild a** guess.

Yes, I can confirm that Tri Synergy are our new US publisher. We will not be attending E3 ourselves, but I believe they will have a representative there. I don't yet know in exactly what capacity they will be there, what they will be showing, or to whom, but I'll let you know if and when I find out more.

Might I ask why Tri Synergy are now representing Rebirth in the US, as opposed to Deepsilver whom I thought were originally doing all the publishing?

Are Deepsilver still the main European publishers? I hope our (mine) fears are not true and Egosoft are not in financial difficulties.

Glad to hear the game will be represented at E3 however! Looking forwards to more information.

So Deepsilver will publish the game on Steam and in Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, and Tri Synergy will publish it in the US and Canada? How much of that can you confirm or deny?

Gee that is funny... All and I mean every single box of Egosoft software I bought at stores here in Detroit Michigan have Deep Silver's logo on it and never have I even heard of Tri Synergy.

you sure you didn't just buy the european version ?

previous games were published by Enlight in the US.
But for TC, there was no US publisher, some game stores just imported european versions to sell
