Alright, so I'm just going to load up the scripts and see what happens then. Unless I'm missing the point here, but it seems to me the MARS Repair Drone mod is actually the main mod files themselves aside from what is in the t folder and scripts.

MARS contains both a cat/dat pair, and a tShips file, if I remember correctly, and they both do one thing only; add the repair laser to the list of fighter drone weapons. Cadius added this to Xtra ships long ago.

Gazz has remarked that this isn't even necessary for the drone repair part of MARS to function; it just looks better.

Also, I know Cadius has been away for a while, but I do hope he sees some of the people that still talk about and use his stuff because it is quite solid.

i have a quick question : what about new xenon ships ? i can buy them somewhere or they are spawning in xenon sectors or what ?
sorry if that was mentioned somewhere i couldn't find it

At least the G and the Z are spawn with vanilla jobs. For the C you need to install xtra jobs (posted some pages back by NighTragE (RECOMMENDED) or the old one by vkerinav (link at the first page)).

Well, i finally got things to work and i love it. I'm flying a Kariudo and I've noticed that it has no engine glow or smoke or anything. I think other Yaki ships also suffer the same fate. At least the large ones do.

Also, the camera veiwports for the Argon Quasar seem to be inside the ship :evil: . Has anyone fixed this or does anyone have a tutorial for fixing camera dummies?

Thanks, I'll try this out tonight! BTW, which file did you change to fix the Quasar? I have a number of things merged so I want to be sure I'm not messing up something else.

It's just the TShips entries for Quasar. Originally its cockpit indices are I think 23, 24 and 25 but in the scene you can see it should be 2, 3 and 4.

I tried it out, but i still cant built complexes. i still cant choose any station for the kits...

hm, how shall i install the new patch? i just copied the two datas in the folder in my x-directory, and named them as 15 and 15.dat... i havent done anything with the "old" datas, should i remove them from the directory?

Those files I provided are a complete package. So you have to replace the old cat/dat pair with the new ones. The other files are the same as in Cadius' download. Mod version is still 2.01.

Maybe you have to change your sector and buy a new complex kit before it might work.

Okay, will test it out tomorrow. But as i remember, in the "original" download were just those folders like "scripts" and "t" and so on and no fake patch, or am i wrong?

Sorry. I just realized that I only provided the cat/dat files. Those should replace the originals made by Cadius (the other folders - director, scripts and t - should be used from Cadius).

I will change that tomorrow so the 2.01c package will come with all neccessary files.

Ah, okay thanks ;) So i will remove the old script/t and so on files and add the new ones from you.

Well, i now installed the complete mod of you replacing all old files, but it still doesnt work...

i jumped out the sector and back, bought (...cheatet) new stations into the TL and built them once again - the kits still dont find any station...

Alex: Since you did such a fine job of fixing the Quasar, do you think you could take a look at the Yaki and Terran ships that have no engine flare? :D
