One more thing though: Is there a chance "A New Home" plot will be included at some point?
I kinda liked having my very own sector in the game, it gave me a place come home to

1. If you've bought and registered the game then you will be able to download the NoSteam executable. There won't be a questionnaire.henkbein wrote:(1) If i have principal (but not technical) issues, how do i obtain this NoSteam executable (without lying) ?
(2) Can i uninstall Steam client after NoSteam executable has been activated ?
Never say never, but there are no plans to do so right now.ConCorDian wrote:will there ever be an update bringing some "mini-plots" to the Terran Side in order to obtain the PHQ, HUB and UFJD?
We've not made any changes to notoriety.ConCorDian wrote:also i havnt seen anything that would suggest the ATF rep issue people had has been rectofied, the fact that many people seem to be able to fix there Terran Rep given time but not the ATF.
I don't know, sorry.Sinxar wrote:About the soundtrack. Will there be a download offered for users who purchased the Terran War Pack through Steam, or is it included with the hardcopy only?
I believe so.|-|Mohawk|-| wrote:Does this mean the problem of ships forgetting what they're doing when under attack has been fixed?
I still don't think that's something the game has much control over I'm afraid, which means it's not something we could fix in a patch.VincentTH wrote:The only gripe I have about the 2.0 patch fix list, is that there is no news on the DiD save game loss problem.
The game is installed from the DVD. If you're buying the X3AP-only add-on then you'll need to have X3TC installed on Steam first, but if you have the DVD version of that too then you can avoid most of that download as well (see the Steam FAQ linked in the first post). If you're buying the Terran War Pack on DVD then both games are installed from DVD.bit.hauler wrote:A German box for the AP Addon is no problem for me, but what I'm confused about is what is actually on the DVD. Is it the full game or is it just the Steam installer that triggers an English AP Addon download from Stream when I select English?
I doubt it. Major plot storylines are not normally "recycled" in this way.Playbahnosh wrote:I kinda liked having my very own sector in the game, it gave me a place come home toI know that sector is more semantics than real gameplay value, but I'm kind of sentimental like that
Never have I been so glad to see the prefix 'mini-'.CBJ wrote:- New mini-plot: The HUB

yeh im hoping that falls under the NEW SHIPS part. and not an OLD ship reintroduced as such. would like to see a totally new Yaki Fast M7, perhaps they will even make the Adv Chokaro available this time round!!Jumee wrote:and come one what about the yaki surprise? oh but wait... than it want be a surprise![]()
One key point which might be worth sticking in the FAQ: uninstalling steam will remove all program data steam is responsible for. This means uninstalling steam will delete the game files - copy them somewhere else first if you plan on doing things this way.CBJ wrote:2. You can uninstall it if you want to. There is no practical reason to do so as you won't need to run the Steam client, but if it makes you feel better then go right ahead. Remember, though, that it's unsupported so you may end up reinstalling it if you have any technical problems you need help with, and that we make no guarantees regarding updating that executable should there be any further patch releases for the game.henkbein wrote:(2) Can i uninstall Steam client after NoSteam executable has been activated ?
OuchCBJ wrote:No. They are both linked to the main plot, so you cannot play them if you start as Terran Commander.ConCorDian wrote:will the new mini plots be available to both sides of the war?
Perhaps there are some undocumented fixes, and this one is getting stealth fixed. It's a really annoying bugReliku wrote:I didn't see any fixes for the uncontrolled spawning of escort ships being left behind at stations, thus causing lag(the one where the trader despawns but the escort stays), would that come out as a hot fix seperately?
There are one or two little fixes that didn't make it into the changelog (such the the Major Miner achievement) but unfortunately this isn't one of them. Even if we do get a chance to fix it at some point then we probably won't be able to remove existing ships, only prevent new ones from being left lying arund.Datalinks wrote:Perhaps there are some undocumented fixes, and this one is getting stealth fixed. This one struck me to be very interesting - but my question is what exactly dose it mean ?CBJ wrote: - Added script command to get complex hangar of factory
Possibly the hopeful statement yet.eldyranx3 wrote:OuchCBJ wrote:No. They are both linked to the main plot, so you cannot play them if you start as Terran Commander.ConCorDian wrote:will the new mini plots be available to both sides of the war?Looks like creating my Xenon plot will have to wait. As soon as I have access to 2.0, I will rectify this oversight.
