I was going to do the samething but it would have been next friday at the earliest I could do it, my main rig is out of action until I get a new monitor and the files on that, have you ever tried play X3 on an HTPC, it sucks in my opinion...

Ok, so I read the first post again and it mentions that some issues will/may be had with a vanilla savegame which indicates I should be able to use my current game with this mod.... however... I can't. It CTDs and tells me my savegame is corrupt. Gone back to using the XRM game I have running but any answer would be much appreciated as I would like to play my vanilla save with these excellent models at some point

Don't know that much about those issues, but that my indicate that you're sitting in a ship which got some changes. Otherwise you could try to go to a sector with no AI ships, leave your ship and send it through the gate oos, so you're alone in space suit in the sector. Save, install the mod, load and go back to your ship. That MIGHT help. No guarantee.

Hey all, been away from the X for a while, just got AP, giving that a thrashing, anyway, this isn't yet compatible with AP, is there any way to make it so? or at least get the ships into the game?

I've got a bunch of bugs after installing the ships and some of the recommended mods (the ones that seemed necessary)
1st Bug:
In the interface I only see names of weapons, some cheat scripts and messages i got when playing the mod first time like this:
The ships are not there/changed
-> playing it in albion prelude

But we're all waiting for 1.95 which is supposed to be AP-ready. Ah, and text file 9999 is none of Cadius (he uses 9951 and 9953 I think). Isn't that Cycrow's cheat package? I think he already released a version that should work with AP. Otherwise I don't have a entry 218 (just up to 208). So maybe you have installed two different mods/scripts that use this page id? (Unless a newer version of the cheat package uses more lines, don't know)

well it was a code from the cheat package, i had it right in front of me so i took that one; the ships from this mod didn't even appear; the weapons had such codes instead of names
and i doubt that i have anything doubleinstalled.
most of the cheatpackage looks ok, but here and there are codes instead of phrases.
beginning with entering the cheat menu;
Shift C -> 5. Fremd -> 1. ReadText....
("Fremd": i play the german version, dunno how it's called in english)
The new Cheat package looks totally different to my previous i-don't-know-how-many-years-old version and only works via communication-menu ... but since there's a lot of talk about clone this in case of bug and clone that in case of other bug, i guess i'm just out of date ~_~ (didn't have that before)

Since the Horz_Talons are not working in my game I recognized that there's no entry in the Dummies.txt. in the category SDTYPE_GUN. So I copied the Teladi Horz_Repeater between the entries for Talon and Horz_Repeater and changed it to Split & Horz_Talon. So by now it looks like that (without the blank lines):
When I load my savegame I get a CTD: Savegame may be broken. So does anybody know what's wrong? I can't imagine where the error is. Maybe in the rotate parts?
