Hi,
A few years ago i used the satellite trader script, my universe trader went only to sectors containing my "trade" satellites.
I made some search on how to avoid my universe traders to go into dangerous sectors but found only very outdated scripts (like the blacklist manager) in the forums
Do you have any idea which spk script would be the best today?
Question about trading script

Old doesn't automatically mean that a script won't work. In fact unless a script command was disabled with a patch (highly unlikely) or the script references something that was changed with a patch even a script, which was written in X3:TC version 1.0, will work in version 3.1.viking42 wrote:found only very outdated scripts (like the blacklist manager) in the forums
Not distributed as .spk, but iirc the Economy and Supply Trader can be used as kind of mk3-trader and you should be able to blacklist sectors.viking42 wrote:Do you have any idea which spk script would be the best today?

With Economy and Supply Trader, you can indeed blacklist sectors... and tell your traders to only trade in sectors where you have a satellite... and also give them emergency jump conditions (in vanilla I think you can only do that with M6 or M7 ships and up). And many, MANY other things.X2-Illuminatus wrote:Old doesn't automatically mean that a script won't work. But as I recall... the main page for EST (which your link points to) does not link to the most recent version of EST. I think it also links to older versions of Libraries (which the OP will also need, if he wants to use EST).
Anyone using EST will still probably want to visit the page you linked though, if only to get instructions on how to use the script. They just shouldn't download the version that is linked on that page, if they want the most recent version of EST (and Libraries).
To get the most recent version of EST (and Libraries), visit the page for Lucike's Script Collection, and download it (the whole collection). Then, EST (and Libraries) can be extracted from the collection. If the rest of the scripts are not wanted, they can simply be deleted.
