  • X-Universe 2 and X-Universe 3 to be installed
Files:
Changes to dds/gui_master.dds

Either uninstall or disable the previous or any other hud mod if you want to use this one.

Well this is an experimentation, i'm reworking the combat side now. This latest addon is basically going to replace something we cannot live with out, our shields. Taking there place is a non-regenerate armor.

I'm hoping some of you will try this, although its only just the start of the mod. I have a lot to do.

Save Game Compatibility
*Should be* but I wouldn't try it on a non backed up save

Compatibility
issues with hud mods, and any mods that changes the shields or bullets or the main text file.

What's been worked
I have changed all the shields to the new armor stats
I have changed the names of the shields and descriptions
I have changed the values and name of the ion disrupter
I have changed the impact effects of all weapons
I have changed the values of at least 5 weapons so that the shield damage value is halved, they will all the be haved at some point

Updates
I hopefully will be working on this over the next few days, so I will keep it constantly updated. Either check here or update the mod via the plugin manager.

Continued Experment
Armor Replacement

:arrow: What's changed
- I have finished the first version of TBullets
- All shield damage values halved
- Impact effects set to 19 originally mass driver (well they already where in 0.0.0.1)
- Impact effects for IRE, PAC, HEPT and MASS set to 50 originally PBE as of 0.0.0.2
- I did change the repair laser to 20 shield damage as I thought that might repair it. But I was wrong, so atm it damages the armor and repairs the hull.

What i'm looking at doing for the next versions:
- Play around with the impact effects to find one that doesn't look like it is hitting a shield or make an effect.
- Do some more editing of the text file so that I get rid of all references to the shields.
- Need a script so you can repair the shield some how (Possibly one of you can make it ;))
- Do some more work to the HUD
- Need more testing, can any of you report how its going :?:

Shield Effect Mod

:arrow: Information:
All I have done really is make a new effect and change the bullet impact effects to it. The only problem come when you shoot an asteroid because it looks like the bullets hit a shield. So don't shoot any asteroids. :P

Not compatible with mods that change the effects or bullets. It is easy enough the make it compatible. All you have to do to make tbullets compatible is change the impact effects to 300. To make the effects compatible is to copy over the 300 effect to the mods effect file.

Not much of an update today, I have done some more work to the shield mod so now that is v0.0.0.2. But the rest of of my attention (apart from xdownloads website) is to a new multi pack on moddb.

I have already wrote out the news post on moddb, i'm just waiting for it to upload. Uncompressed it is 676 mb and compressed 446 mb so it taking its time.

- Updated the graphics mod, by adding to the effects file to make it compatible with the shield mod (I still think it doesn't work).
- Added X-UNIVERSE 3 Update
  • This just finishes off the main menu graphics which I been wanting to do since I released X-UNIVERSE 3. And adds an effects file.
- Updated the shield mod by removing the effects file, so now it gets a bit complicated trying to make it compatible.

I've just been looking through the graphics mods files for the first time really since it initial release and I got to say "What a mess of old files". The effects file was an early version of the CMOD3 which was modified for my old mod X1PF. Also some of the dds files are from CMOD3. I need to do a new version of the graphics mod sometime, maybe a complete rebuild!
