I loaded the manager today to install something, and it requested permission to update, so I said yes. It installed, then the whole program stopped working. Now I get an error whenever I try to open the manager.
I havent played TC for over a year now but have just installed in in my new computer. Along with my ATI5870 it should run very smoothly so it looks like time to start again.
Cycrow its good to see that you are still supporting this game.
One question though, as for installing ships with the new manager where do they appear or how do I assign them to shipyards?
Cycrow,
Have installed the old tools package, forgot to check the box forst time.
When I pick the X3 directory the ship creator says it cannot find the exe file even though it is the correct directory. Tried to point to it manually and get the same error. Plugin manager lite finds the x3 directory ok.
The auto updater for the SPK library also gives a SONAR warning in NORTON IS 2010.
Any ideas?
Do I have to uninstall old Plugin Manager v2.20 b6 before installing Plugin Manager Lite v1.10? And what should I do with active scripts if I uninstall old one - deactivate them prior to installing or what?
You can ininstall the old first althou it doesn't matter
The scripts will all be fine the new one will recognise what's already installed by the old manager and use that
Thanks Cycrow,
I forgot that the ship creator didnt work with TC. I might try the downloader later without NORTON turned on for just the download then it can scan the file after to check if it wants to.
Just a bit busy playing Bioshock at the moment. Could not get it to run correctly on my last computer but eith my new graphics card its sweet.
Is Plugin Manager supposed to create 10.dat and 10.cat files? In my particular case it created 11.dat and 11.cat, because my old 10.dat and 10.cat from Plugin Manager v2.20 v6 weren't deleted when uninstalled.
Edit: NVM, solved it. It was EMP, it creates fake patch files.

you dont need EMP anymore, the plugin manager generates the files for you

I just installed the new X Plugin Manager Lite and cannot seem to find the EXE file. Can you tell me where its located? Ive looked all over C drive and H drive. I have X3 on H drive presently. I looked in the Plugin Manager folders and found no EXE files.
Many thanks and thanks for these awesome programs.
