playerships can't because there is a safety pin below the flightcontrols that prevents the player from jumping to a sector with less energy then needed. "warranty void if removed" ->registeres your ship as modified if you remove that one...

100 - Fleet


So a short memorial service for 'Excession', flakked to death for the greater good. Short, because noone had anything nice to say about him being as he'd only been in Purple wing for two minutes.. Still I guess if anyone is going to bite the bullet it's likely to be the new guy. That leaves a space in the wing of course, and fortunately we've got 'Scuttle Me Timbers' just waiting on the reserve list to fill the slot. That means he's the new guy now, so the wreath has been pre-ordered for next week..

The arrival of the new ships has kept the tech crews busy..

.. tho not as busy as they've been in the past as the elite boarding teams did a truly exemplary job of taking the ships with barely a scratch. One of the Aquilos is in pristine condition, the other just 1% hull dmaage, and it's a similar story for the three Mammoths as well. Two of them are pristine 100% hull, the third on 98%. It certainly pays to use well trained guys for the job!

The question now of course is what to do with them. What do I keep? what do I sell on? Do I use them to upgrade the fleet instead and sell off some other things? I think I'm going to have to have a review across the fleet. Seperate the Delexian wheat from the chaff so to speak..

For now tho it'll take a little while to get things together and I seem to have accrued a whole list of things that need my attention:

1. The Goners have been calling again, seems they've got some more jobs for me.
2. That Boron who wanted me to go wading into Xenon territory, something I've now got the firepower to do.
3. The Terrans are keen on a visit, tho that might be a trap.
4. NMMC have got some more jobs lined up for me.
5. The Yaki have hit my freighters over in Profit Centre Alpha (again), so I need to go smack them hard.
6. And I've got a whole lot of asteroids need re-arranging.

As recompense you may retain full leave to assign my trusty Duck Dodgers to whichever pilot you deem would be most effective at its controls. Given its continued service in your shield suppression wing, I feel it would be most fitting that a real leader for Purple Wing would be assigned to her. The new pilot may rename her, if he desires.

Finally, if you find it within the bounds of your capacious and magnanimous heart, I would be honored to lead Blue Wing from the pilot's seat of that Advanced Eclipse. Armed with whatever you deem most appropriate. "Duck Dodgers II" shall be its name.

I had been tricked into meditative retreat for a while to try and change my past inglorious ways. But have been recently forced to come out of the seclusion offered by the goner temple after a slight unforeseen event when I accepted the offer of a cuddly pet MEEP from a passing trader...

After a quick check on the old news wire I have discovered boy have I missed out! Now that I have seen what life could be like, there's no going back.

It took me a while to piece together all your past adventures and to track you down. But now that I have brought myself up to speed with current events, I would like to apply for a position in your growing band.

In my pre-goner days, I used to fly a Cutlass for the ATF and was actually not the worst pilot to ever earn his wings, so if you ever come across one of those babies, I would be useful behind the stick.

But in the meantime, that Nova Vanguard you have lying around looks awfully tempting if you haven't already given it another use. Full PRGs and hurricanes would be the preferred load out. But truth be told, I'd be happy with anything you give me so long as its got more then harsh language.

And I would like to name her 'MEEP-MEEP!'
