Found a small bug ?

When you select a marine there is a small window showing witch level of training the marine is. When you buy a marine in a Military outpost it shows the window but only with the name of the marine and not the training level. Once you buy the marine and select it in your ship it shows the windows with the marine name and the training level.

Thanks. Will research why it is not showing the level of training he has had.

Edit: Thanks to Gorium. You need a bioscanner. Put one in and it works fine.

You need a Bioscanner to see the Marine Stats at the Outpost.

don't worry, is normal both noob and expert :D

Italian version have 2 "minor bug"

1) In the Custom starts selection the description text "absent" , we've only a "textnotfound" ( bug I've already trasnlate the Transcend ID in the file 0001-L0039.xml )

2) The "voice" for sector are the same of TC vanilla

Thanks Deman! Considering their fearsome nature, I wouldn't use the word "nice" to describe the Xenon Mech's. [ external image ]

FYI: Those ships are next on the list of videos being created. Existing videos (Hailstorm and Fortress) have been updated (bottom of OP). :)

i think i found a conflict to a mod.... Advanced Hyperdrive by loky. Seems as the Auto Drive command for the ships does not function as intended. some or none of the commands get changed to the appropriate quantum/hyperdrive like it's supposed to.

Thanks Macrixen! We are assembling a list of compatible scripts/mods. I will include the one you mention as "incompatible". Perhaps the author might take a look. :wink:

Regarding the mod, how much of a different experience can I expect from it? Is it interesting, rewarding? A different touch to the game? Is it a lot better than a new game start in vanilla X3TC?

Also, are the current small bugs game breaking, or only annoying? (very tempted to try the mod out, but don't want to do all the efforts if it's overly buggy for the moment)

Finally, if I try it, do I need a fresh X3TC install? Or my current steam with some mods and scripts added will work out fine with your mod installer???

I wonder how do you do the pirate mission? I can't get the pirate base to let me dock and there is no option to land. I see way too many pirates in there and if it makes any difference I'm doing the lost in space start.

This is a total conversion, you know the X universe? ok this is a new universe, new mission etc :) ( for me is better than X universe because various mod are " a enhancement " for TC, but this is a completely new universe , with new "quest", new story )

atm the bugs we've found are minor and don't " break " the game experience

Is better to use this mod with a new installation of X TC. you can re-install the game, than the mod, and after you can try to use your favourite script ( atm I don'tk know what scripts are compatible or not, but scripts with a new tships file are incompatible obviously ) . In the future we can make a sort of list.

first of all, many thanks for this great Mod. After got bored with vanilla, Transcend is just what i needed :)
i have a question to the quest

After i destroyed the pirate base that was responsible for "hull eating", i am kinda stuck. What is the trigger for the next quest? i played the whole day yesterday but the goner "ignore" me and do not release the next challenge.

As with standard X3, there comes a point were the "mission" is to simply branch out of the plot, and do whatever you like (Trade. Fight. Build. Think). There still remains all (or most) of the standard X3 missions available to you.

Very soon, we will provide an expansion pack that will add a major addition to the Transcend plot - starting at the point you are now finally at. The "Mystery ship" that you've now obtained, will involve a story as to its origin the likes of which X3 has not seen!

I can't (won't) go into details at this time; beyond saying this will entail a new, unheard of threat of galactic proportions, to all races - including Xenon and Khaak alike. Solving this threat, will require the "Mystery ship", traveling through time (back to X2 period), and once again rising to status of Hero of the universe par excellence. [ external image ]

Aside for the ultimate yet to be reveled mystery behind the Mystery ship, I assume you are aware of its unique "warp weapon"; capable of warping nearby enemies beyond range of fire? This "weapon" presents some very interesting possibilities for sector defense and intrusion. :)

NEUTRAL Mech Mothership in sector Orpheus?
I first noticed this early on when one of my lost fleet jumped from that sector.

I later got there in my Dart safely getting through the Scuti Epsilon system using nothing but speed.

I thought the item in question would be free for the claiming it not belonging to any race however rather than 'No Pilot' it has Unknown Object and just flies around aimlessly.

I've later been back to the sector in an M3 after

Destroying the Pirate Base that was the source of the hull damage
and the item is still wandering around aimlessly. This time round I could take out the lone hostile Uziel but not sure if there's anything else to be done here.
