Introducing Transcend II for Terran Conflict

We are pleased to announce Transcend II for Terran Conflict. This second in the Transcend Trilogy contains the following major features:

• New galaxy - consisting of 194 new sectors for "Trade.Fight.Build.Think" challenges and opportunities.
• Numerous missions developed using the power of Mission Director
• New ships
• Multiple game-starts
• Hull-eating sectors
• Selected backgrounds by Realspace
• Various other surprises and enhancements over standard X3
• Custom installation and update program
• Multi-language support

Requirements

• Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7.

Lost in Space:

While returning from a mission in the X-universe galaxy, your fleet of warships encounters a wormhole, landing you in a far-flung galaxy. Having no means of communication with the home system, your only hope is to explore this region of the universe in an attempt to find friends with whom you may develop alliance. Your fleet is scattered, and their fate is unknown. You must cross vast regions of space full of challenges at every turn!

Invasion:

This is the original Transcend I scenario adapted for Transcend II galaxy.

The Galaxy is in ruin. Commerce and trade between races has all but ceased and sector economies are collapsing. Key sectors have been lost to the Xenon, Kha'ak and Pirate factions. All the major allied Fleets are engaged in combat against an ever-increasing foe.

Terran High Council has decided that their historically isolationist policy must be set aside to avoid being engulfed by the chaos besetting the rest of the galaxy. You are the commander of a powerful Fleet of ships, with the perilous task of saving the galaxy from ruin.

Hunted:

This is for those who like a little more combat action in their game. After you destroy 2 Pirate ships, you will receive a warning from Pirate Headquarters. If you destroy 2 more Pirate ships, you had better run, because the hunt is on! They will chase you to the end of the galaxy and through the gates of hell. As you travel, you will find yourself with a growing "pack" of relentless Pirates after your head. You can run, but you cannot hide!

Mobile Fortress Super Carrier

M2 Hailstorm Destroyer docking externally to the rear of the Fortress, followed by M5 Dart docking internally. As the Dart approaches, you will notice docking arms capable of supporting a wide variety of craft including Freighters and other large ships up to M7 size. The Fortress can dock 4 M1/M2 Capital vessels.

Hailstorm M2 Destroyer

And while we are on the subject of docking, with mention of the Hailstorm Destroyer, here's another short video of the Hailstorm internal docking bay, and its famous "wheel turrets" in action - which can make mincemeat of any other battleship in the known universe:

this mod is very very Interesting . I wish if is possible to have Transcend II for X3 and Transcend II for TC into the SuperBox collection ;)

The Transcend's Galaxy is one of a kind, and this is ONLY a pre-release!

Hi,

Keen to try this one!

Quick question...can I download the 100+ mb mod file outside of the installer?

Reason I ask is because my internet PC is separate from my gamer so I wanted to set things downloading here before transfering later.

There are several ways you could do it Scoob.

Probably the best, would be to download the mod using the Installer on your internet computer, copy the Installer and the mod on to your gaming machine, and use the Installer to install the mod there. The downloaded mod file (zipped) will be in the \mods directory located wherever you intalled the program. For example: C:\Program Files\X3Dmod\T2 Config\mods

Download it via the installer and if you go to C:\Program Files\X3Dmod\T2 Config\mods you will find the ziped up mod there.

Your best bet is to is to download it on your Internet PC and then install the installer on the gaming PC and just copy the ziped file to the gaming PC as you need the installer to make sure the mod runs correctly

I don't think there is, best way to see the new models to try the mod for a short while.

I tried it last night to check out the ships.
Some are really nice. Some not so much (in my opinion). I'll stick with my current setup at the moment, but I'll be watching the mod to see where it goes.

One thing to understand, is that this is NOT strictly a "ship mod" per se. It is much, much more. It is a "major expansion" of the game.

Everything we've put into this, has been carefully selected for very specific purposes. Our main intent is for significant game enhancement, and player enjoyment.

Certainly there are added ships, but many of them will not appear until after playing for some time, and each of them is designed with particular features and benifits - beyond simply adding a "ton" of ships for no other reason than more ships. :roll:

The installer is very good.
MOD very interesting, but still too early to express an opinion about him.
At this time, work on a translation into Polish.

Hi Observe, Killerog,

Thanks for the response...I was going to try exactly that but XP's auto update was going screwy on this fairly recent build I I couldn't get the .net runtimes. It's playing ball again now so windows update is finally doing its thing.

Will be trying this out shortly-ish :)

@Scoob: Just so you know, you don't actually need to run the Installer setup program on your second (game) machine after installing it on your internet computer. You could just copy the whole Installer directory structure (along with the downloaded mod) over to your game computer, and run the installer executable from there. :wink:

Hello
I have a liitle problem to install the MOD. I downloaded the installer program and installed it. Then I followed that installation instruction step by step.
- clean X3TC Install
- patch to 2.1
- start t2installer
- download MOD
- install MOD -> the installer asked for the correct installation path. I pointed the X3TX.exe and a window popped up which said: Please select a valid X3-TC installaton location. ( an i is missing :wink: )
I´m using the german version of X3TC.
Thanks in forward for any help

Did you actually click on X3TC.exe prior to closing that Dialog Box?

You mention X3TX.exe.? Or did you actually mean "X3TC.exe"?

I clicked Install Mod within the installer - a window opened and there stood "In the following Dialog Box, please browse to the location where you have X3 Terran Conflict installed, and click on X3TC.exe" - I pressed okay - then I browsed to X3TC installation folder and pointed the X3TC.exe (sorry for the false discription first) and pressed open (I tried doubleclicking the X3TC.exe as well) - then the box I mentioned above, appeared.

@TheDante: I won't be able to access my development computer until this evening, but I have a question. Does your X3-TC game installation have a "mods" subdirectory? If not, could you try creating one, and then see if the Installer will proceed? Thanks!

First, thank you for your response :) .
There wasn´t a "mods" subdirectory, due to new installation. I just created one, but no change. Then I also tested it with additional "director, screens and types" subdirectories.
