The first "in-mod" mission, i think, will be "Bug hunting" for cool scripters (like ULiX) only :fg:
Also hope, Markus Pohl or/and Alexander Preuss or/and Christian Vogel gived the XTM team any lessons about modelling and texture mapping.

Hmm, just thought of something - you have hinted that the XTC will use a new gamestart (perhaps i'm off on this one), but will we be able to play through the vanilla plots?

No. For reasons we don't wish to disclose atm. ;)

are the new plots better (gameplay, immersion, whatever) than Vanilla ones? (in your opinion)

'cause I'm pretty bored by Vanilla Plots...

I'd just like to add that many minds are at work on the mod, even on much smaller details than storyline, balancing and so on ;)

Ok, if my begoning process will help you to create again any new possibilites in X-universe, finish the goners` plot and write your scripts correctly such as 0.7.3. and high, i`m already "being processing".

The scripts for XTC are being designed with 'Large and Complex Mod' in mind from the beginning - Unlike XTM which grew quicker than anyone expected from humble beginnings.

construcutive criticism is fine around here, blatant deragotary comments (which unless i'm losing something in the language here vidar.mk) you appear to be pointing towards will bring you only pain and suffering if I see more.

XTM did have bugs but as someone who actually writes code will know, for what was made the achievements were immense for volunteers.

All I can say is Im happy about this news. I participated in some of the internal beta testing for the Reunion XTM so hopefully when the time is right Id like to participate in it again (Hopefully have a computer that can run full graphics instead of Reunion shaders in all low settings). I know this date is a long ways away but Id just like to show my interest and support to the XTC Team as early as possible.

Making more plot missions is a good idea, as XTC already have a lot of ships (however missing XTM ships like true Valhalla and OTAS ships would be welcome).

Could you fix a station missions so all of pirate/xenon/yaki ships types would participate in it (I mean M7, M3+, M4+, heavy M6) ?

More types of station mission would be also nice.

Plot for Teladi and Paranid or even Pirate/Yaki would be nice too.

In case someone is worried: TXU is currently down because the hosts servers have been hacked. Or something like that.
Important is that we have backups to bring the site back online as soon as the host is ready. :)

A bit more info on TXU's servers for everyone.

Last night our hosts servers had a hacker attack them. To protect the servers they have all currently been shut down (And there are a few hundred of them).

After the security breach has been fixed, they will be starting the servers up again one by one. A few are reported to have had total data loss before the servers were shut down, while others have only partial data loss.

So worst case scenario is that once our server is restarted, TXU will have to be totally reinstalled. Fortunately the forum had a backup done on it only 4 hours beforehand, so if there is any data loss we can restore the backup.

If this does happen, some posts will have gone missing as they will have been made after the backup. Unfortunately there is nothing we will be able to do about this.

Hopefully when our server is restarted, we are one of the lucky ones that had no loss of data. We can only wait and wonder for now though. ;)
