Theoretically it would work in AP but when installing, if using the 1st or 3rd methods that were listed in the OP it will have to go in X3TC\addon for the 1st method or X3TC\addon\mods for the 3rd. If using the second method then put the files into X3TC\dds (it it won't work in the addon directory)
1940s - Various "computers" are "programmed" using direct wiring and switches. Engineers do this in order to avoid the tabs vs spaces debate.

That's kind of funny because I often lose the vanilla cursor while fighting. Too many hard to see blue/red squares hiding the hard to see blue/red cursor so I lose it the moment I stop focusing on it.
I'm definitely going to give this a try.
EDIT: I'm absolutely loving it so far. It'll take a bit to get used to the dark menu's but everything is really easy to read and see. I'm able to quickly spot things that I'd of struggled to see before.
I did notice one problem. On the sector map you can't see the button for Enable/Disable Sector Camera even though you can still click it.

Updated to v1.3 with the following changes :
+ Improved non-hovered scrollbar visibility
+ Combat related mouse cursors are now in orange for improved combat readability
+ Fixed a glitch where the sector camera wasn't visible in sector map.
Huge thanks to juju1111... this mod somehow makes icons both less intrusive yet much more easier to recognize in the usual space backdrop (dark colors).

Sorry for necroin this thread, but i wanted to check if there is someone who can modify stations icons to work with XRM, there are wrong weapon names on them. The best way is to get rid of them, and i dont know how to do it..
Ok this mod is sweet. Of course now I have questions
1. Can I get rid of the glow?
2. As a poster above mentioned: With XRM, some factories have the wrong icons/names when they're on the screen edge. An example is the Phased Plasma Generator Forge (iirc this is not a vanilla weapon?) in Paranid Prime; it gets a HEPT icon. Does anyone know how to change this, or maybe point me in the right direction? I have no idea how to mod but if I know where to look I'm sure I can move stuff around until I get it right.
Thanks in advance. Again... damn this hud is so much nicer than stock. Though I never realized how much I depended on those boxes around targets to quickly assess what was around me. Hmm...

Regarding 2 - you cannot have right icons names. Doesn't matter XRM or vannila, some factories share same icons.
