Hello,
I was wondering if it would be possible to quickly import, modify and export 3d models from X2?
I used to hang out around the Il-2 3d modellers and that software is very strict about how the models are done.
I was wondering if macros in modern 3d editing software could be used to sharpen or reduce the curvature of ships (or even just remove polys).
I would really like to see an alterantive set of ship 3d models that have a more angular 1980s like shape. Right now I know I am in the 90s instead of the future by the curved ascetic (which is not random or aerodynamic either).
Anyway, is this possible?
Could ships be imported and quickly streched (made longer) or made more angular and then exported without requiring much work?
Would the engine still accept them?
Thank you
-Avimimus

Possible? Dude we can make our own home-made parts and export them into X2. This will be no problem!Avimimus wrote:...I was wondering if it would be possible to quickly import, modify and export 3d models from X2?...

Dude, once you start playing around in MAX, you find you can build some good stuff from SCRATCH.
