I am sure I cured this before but lost the info. My Saitek Cyborg 3D USB is beautiful - except that in fights it keeps turning me to the right suddenly every now and then. Er- not that it is me fighting - its my ship in the game. I thought it was a driver problem but cant find any cure yet.
Ideas anyone?

If you use 98, then look in Joystick section and untick (Forgot name) one of the boxes.
Also think its on FAQ.
I used to know the answer!!!!!!!!

saitek joystick - sudden turns to right
thanks Doc, but it ain't the dead-zone either.
thanks Faze, but this is not the "permanent roll" problem that is solved by unticking the rudder box.
I think it relates to the drivers but I cant find a driver that helps.
Nice to see your memory is like mine Faze.

In X-tension I had the same sounding problem (ie when letting go of stick the ship would turn ever so slightly unless re ajust stick carefully) but not in other games that I remember
I got shot of the Scitek thinking the pots had worn out (potentiometers the movement regesters inside the stick), after much fiddling and emailing Scitek I just got rid of it (ie to shelf) got a MS Sidewinder Precision 2 which done EXACTLY the same (just a very slight drift) which is impossible with the MS stick it has no pots and is fully digital, so came to conclusion X-Tension was the problem.. and donated stick to a friend.
This was on Old Old Forum, I done some searching and eventually found it was a semi-known bug, ie someone else had documented it (where and who it was too long ago to remember).
May not be same problem, but either way I found NO cure for it
