Will there be an off topic?

Got to admit, an OT Board would be a sensible move as OT postings are inevitable!

Linear forums

One of the reasons I didn't use phpBB forums is that you cant see who replied to what.... theres no threading facility.

Having seperate forums is a sensilbel way to self sort topics... It them makes the wading effort more bearable...

Still let wait and see what happens. :D

I remember this discussion being erm discussed on the old board.. Iwould rather see just the one board, otherwise you have to go trawling through all sorts of gumfph to find what youre after. This place was and always will be a community, as soon as you start splitting that into sections the community gets divided.... me no like. My thoughts anyway...

Oh yes like the German and English speakers ;-)

No divide there then

Erm, well I couldn't disagree more. If I want info about the game, why should I have to trawl through 101 OT threads to find the topic I want.

Sorry the game forum should be for game discussion and OT for non-games discussion.

90% of this board and THQ atm is OT... When X2 comes out that may change round, but the habit is formed now, any X-er will post here no matter what the subject and no matter when.

Keeping it a community has nothing to do with how many forums there are, its to do with individuals interacting on a common subject, no matter where.

Just a thought 8)

I know what you mean, but when X2 is released we all know the main subject of conversation. :rolls: OT posting will shrink away.

If we have started a divided commmunity and suddenly everyone is attracted to the On Topic board then the Off topic board will be redundant.

I agree that NOW a separate on Topic board would be an idea but im looking to when we all have the same thing to think about........ Most folk have the common sense to add 'OT' to their posts if that is necassary... so you can avoid them..

Hi. Well, I agree with both points hear. In that 1 yes in my humble opinion there should be an off topic forum hear as well.. But, in saying that, when X2 does come out, Off topic descussion will no longer be much of a problem.
