Great advice for all writers

Post by SteveMill »

Not from me, but from this guy, the author of the 10% solution. It's a simple set of techniques for editing your work to remove common errors and produce tighter text. At its heart is a lits of search terms for yor Word program that will identify words or fragments of words that are associated with common problems like passive voice, along with how to deal with them.

It's a short but really valuable read. I'll be using its techniques from now on.

Steve could never ever understand who the person was that watched over him. Frankly , the meaning of it all alluded him (and elluded others)

I imply from your inference that the blame lies fairly and squarely on everybody's shoulders.

Sorry.

I'm sorry - I don't understand this. Inferences, blame? It's just a link to a cheap e-book people might find useful.

I think he's just squeezing as many common writing mistakes as possible into one short message. I spotted passive voice, incorrect use of words, tautology and cliché.
